Hi Test levels = Anti-Social for me

I have been on HRT for 5+ years.

I feel great, libido is decent, alpha male effects are discernable.

That said, I have noticed HRT has made me very anti-social. I sort of just dislike people and crowds now. I have become a bit of a recluse, only hanging out with family, friends I grew up with and the old lady. That's it.

I barely even enjoy going out to dinner anymore due to the annoying people. I know this sounds bad, but I am looking for some opinions from others that may have experienced this from CORRECTED Test levels.

Perhaps a negative side of high test levels or HRT?

Thoughts?

Most likely psychological issues steming from possible child hood trama.
Condition is called agorphobia. Unfortunately I do not have time to play psychogist, but it could also be from a chemical reaction from too much dopamine lack of seratonin and GABA. With out past medical history and events It would be impossib to determine.

I had a great/healthy childhood. Perhaps it's the latter.

Low serotonin levels woiuld make sense as I just looked it up and have many of these symptoms.

Is this common for HRT?

whatever you do dont start self diagnosing or self medicating, that normally leads to disaster. there are professionals for that.

Again I would have to look at a slew of variables and factors into consideration. Trying to evaluate someone from a forum is leaving out alot of crucial information which with out knowing the specific information may make an undesired out come. I have seen it happen and I spend more time undoing other medical professional and "I heard it on line" lol

Maybe youre not the problem.

Maybe hrt is not the problem.

Maybe its just better being around people you know and like, instead of mingling with the obnoxious, annoying, rude, ignorant, mindless, general population. I cant friggin stand people anymore and my hormones are all over the place, so your normalized T level has nothing to do with it.

The problem is trying to diagnose a problem that doesn't exist.
Diagnosis is for drs
Giving benefit of the doubt there may be hidden imbalance here that needs to be futher explored with in 2-3 simple moves i would be able to rule out many pathology. A few cases I worked one I could not give no medical justification for even though I gave them the benefit of the doubt, several clinical tests blood urine saliva ect. Refered out to a psychiatrist bom we got our answer

I have the opposite effect. I get more anti-social and get more twisted in the head when I have low test levels during PCT

I hate going to the docs, hate it. I have zero truest in their OVERALL omniscient awareness and therefore their competence. If it's a cold, sure, they're ok. But for issues like this? ZERO confidence.

Truth is, unless you are lucky enough to find a really dedicated guru/bad ass in this field, chances are the diagnoses and subsequent medical advice/directions will be wrong and you run the risk of more problems/worsening your disposition anyway. Pathetic but true!

Add to this, the fact that this borders on being a hormonal AND/OR psychological imbalance (brain chemistry) issue, it makes the waters even muddier as each "Specialist" will analyze said problem thru their prism/from their respective vantage point and insisit the problem exists in their arena (either b/c they want the busiens or b/c thei only see things from their profession's view point), thus giving a narrow minded and potentially FALSE perspective, and discounting the other professional's input which may even worsen the ordeal.

When it comes to hormones, you're essentially screwed.

then there are people like myself that who along with md do nd to help them look outside of the scope of tradition look for the imbalance nit only in one biochemistry, neurology, but other simple things which make a world of a difference. Some of the most complex cases I dealt with had the simpliesf solutions. Drs just do not take the time to ask proper question. I spend over and hour and half first visit probing people looking at all facets of wellness.

Try this ... take the Myers-Briggs personality test ...

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

Here's the thing - when you're young and have high test levels - everything seems to be an "emergent" situation that, if left uncorrected, you believe your life will take a unrecoverable dive from.

As you get older - test goes down, E goes up - you get a little more mellow ... etc.

So, you're probably just being corrected to what your normal personality was with the regular T levels.

Take the test ... I turned out to be an "INTP" ... and one of those letters means I'm an "introvert" - the other letters have their own insightful meanings. Anyway - "introvert" doesn't really mean what you think it does - it means that you simply don't enjoy the company of large numbers of people and need private time for a "re-charge".

Bogus test? Hmmm ... well I've taken it like 3 times now ... and each time was at least 3 years apart - and they were all different tests - and they all came back "INTP".

For me - it helps me resolve my strengths and weaknesses. I know where I'm weak going into something - and I can pay close attention to that trait to make sure I stay on track.

I have taken the test at work and the results were interesting. I am in medical sales and we took the test so that we would learn about all the different attributes that our customers have. Teaches you the best way to relate information to people.

OT/ Just took that test again, some of the questions were different, my scoring was a little different, perhaps I answered a little bit different, but I got the same end result. I plan to take it again in a month and see.
