Good doc in LA/MS/AL or nearby area. Or, even in Los Angeles, Tucson areas

So, I'm looking for a good doctor. See my other thread... primary doc just diagnosed me with hypogonadism. So, now I'm searching for someone who is more of a specialist, whether it is an endocrinologist, or some other specialty.

I live in southeastern Louisiana. I'm willing to drive a ways to see a good doctor. I also end up in Los Angeles several times a year... so that is a possibility, but not very convenient. I also end up in Tucson once or twice a year, so also possible. I wouldn't want a doc that far away to treat me, but it would be nice to get in to see someone with copies of records and at least get advice and possible directions to go in.

So, in short, if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

Just wanted to re-up this thread. I live in central Mississippi and am looking for a good doctor that is willing to work with me. Willing to drive to Louisiana/Alabama/West Florida/Tennessee-basically anywhere in the southeast.

Nope... not a bit. I'm still seeing my primary doc for this for now, with input provided by a urologist from ~10 days ago. He's pretty clueless, but interested. I've given him some copies of studies which he is going to read.

I'd even be willing to go to Los Angeles as I do some work out there from time to time, and at least get a game plan from a doc out there.

If you hear of one in your area, let me know.


Someone has to have a recommendation... even if it is in Los Angeles.

Just started seeing an anti-aging doctor in Jackson, MS a couple of weeks ago. He was concerned that someone my age (30 years old) was considering hormone replacement. But I hope he will be willing to work with me now that some of my lab results have come back and my total test was at 289. Going back to see him in 2 weeks. If he won't work with me and I can't find a doctor withing reasonable driving distance, I might have to use a clinic out of Palm Beach, FL that a friend of mine has used in the past. Will let you now how things go.

I found the doctor I am talking to now through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine directory. You might want to check that directory out to see if there are any anti-agind doctors in your area.
