Clinic just switched me from Arimidex to Nolvadex?

I got my new replacement hormone order. This time they sent me Nolvadex instead of the usual anastrazole. They did not notify they were going to do this.

I have no clue why they made the switch.

Im not as familiar with Nolvadex, but i know they are different. My estradiol level was fine after my last blood test.

Can anyone shed light on Nolvadex being used with HRT?

Im on Test and HCG as well btw.

Nolvadex just seems to block the receptors so it does seem different:

"Some breast cancer cells require estrogen to grow. Estrogen binds to and activates the estrogen receptor in these cells. Tamoxifen is metabolized into compounds that also bind to the estrogen receptor but do not activate it. Because of this competitive antagonism, tamoxifen acts like a key broken off in the lock that prevents any other key from being inserted, preventing estrogen from binding to its receptor. Hence breast cancer cell growth is blocked."

Are you sure it was not a mistake? Either on you drs part or the pharmacy; it would not be the first time. I would call your dr.

Your estrogen is going to go up even with nolvadex intake now. You need to take this up with your doctor...

Nolvadex do not have a place in TRT.
    Restart, maybe, doubtful.

You may want to find another doctor.

    Describe your situation at length.
Post your history for at least last 5 years, any steroid use, cycling etc.
Any history of accidents, hit in the head, surgeries
    Post all your test results.
    ---------------

Testosterone + HCG on steady dose and very frequent applications, EOD, E3D, sounds good.

this medication only blocks estrogen from being absorbed by breast tissue, it does not prevent or slow the production of estrogen, like arimidex. Therefore it would be of no value to men.

If this was not an accident, get a new dr OP; I would get one anyway.
