"Best" HRT Doc in LA Area?

Just curious, Ive already seen two different offices....they have their pros/cons, but long term I think I might need someone who is a little more detail oriented and thorough.

Just curious if anyone out there knows someone who "gets it" and isnt just throwing out tests they learned about in a 3 day weekend seminar.

Neither doctors tested me for LH/FSH, E2 ultrasensitive, progesterone, prolactin, etc. But both want me on HRT, and told me not to worry about estrogen its not a problem etc (even though they didnt test it!). One believes in GH, the other does not, both want me on HCG, but mostly for weight loss not for my testes....one even said the GH and HCG will shrink my balls...

Is this how it is with most HRT docs? Just be happy someone will give you HRT, then figure it out on your own?

None of them knew anything about attempting a "re-start" or explained why my T levels are so damn low.

I can highly recommend Dr. Eric Dodson, of the Ameretat Anti-Aging clinic, at 1-877-414-9300. He's in Chino, California, just off the 71, south of the 60, about 38 miles east of downtown L.A.

He did a series of tests, explained each one to me and why, and then broke it down more simply when I looked confused. He follows me monthly, checking for any signs of problems or negative response, measuring BMR, bodyfat, and several other factors on an ongoing basis. He's very conservative in his approach, and explains each option. he was actually able to show me WHY I didn't need GH at age 55, when I expected to. He can explain more to you about hormone and enzyme cycles than you can probably absorb.

No, he's not cheap (at least by my standards) for the initial consultation and testing, and not covered by insurance, but if you have it, he's worth every penny.

Any LEGIT anti-aging specialist will not be covered by medical insurance, welcome to america, anyways, firedrake is on point, go to someone who can EXPLAIN every detail as simple as possible with actual bloodwork. Blood work lets many specialists know more or less what is going on with the body. By what firedrake said, this Eric guy sounds like a catch.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Ill look forward to hearing what name you come up with UGHQT, and will search on the other name as well.

No-no one takes insurance that Ive looked into. Some do take PPO for the initial consult, but all the tests, prescriptions, etc will be out of pocket. However I know guys on other forums who do get their scripts taken care of by insurance. Since Im new to this, havent had the opportunity to try it yet, but might. I think GH will be a no go, but T cream and Cyp might just be covered by good insurance companies.

Ive heard of the FL places, wonder if they are defunct now, where guys used to be able to get anti aging programs that included nandrolone and anavar, along with their T, GH, ad HCG....oh and winny too...wow...that would be and interesting appointment..."well Im giving you anavar, GH, Cypionate, HCG, and Nandrolone, Ill see you in a few months" hahah....

The doc who said hcg will shrink balls is a quack! HCG is the signal that tells them to keep working. If your LH and FSH are naturally low, hcg may be the thing to get your body to make more of its own testosterone.

I got a few names but Dr. Dodson is the one everyone actually likes. He seems to really know his business.

Thats where I would go.

Not true.

My doc is anti-aging doc and a Doctor of Osteopathy.

He is on my insurance.

Most anti-aging docs are not covered under insurance becuase they prescribe medicine that under normal circumstances most people don't need. Anti-aging is not a medical necessity.

Any case, if you can find a Doc who is both an MD/DO and ant-aging it will be covered under insurance.
