    Masturbation and consequent orgasm depletes the brain and spinal fluids of acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin and the hormones such as hGH, DHEA, testosterone, thyroxine (T4) and Triiodothyronine (T3), neurotransmitters that are responsible for human functioning and very important when it comes to sex. This deficiency melts the brain’s acetylcholine/parasympathetic, dopamine and serotonin nervous functions and your endocrine functions. The damage results in the symptoms of bladder and prostate problems; frequent urination, incontinency, semen leakage, enlarged prostate, etc.

    People also experience hair loss and they have no idea why they are losing hair. Even young men come to me and wonder why they are losing hair. The answer lies in the imbalances of the bodies nutrients and hormones that overmasturbation produces. Over burning of testosterone into DHT and the excessive DHT binds to the root of hair cells, blocking it from growing and cutting off supplies of nutrients and proteins so that hair will thin and eventually stop growing.

    Frequent ejaculation also depletes the body of serotonin which then strikes an imbalance of serotonin and melatonin production (which controls your biological clock and tells you when to sleep and when to get sleepy). Serotonin on the other hand is responsible for fighting stress and anxiety and focusing on concentration…it then gets converted to melatonin for a good night’s sleep to recharge. People who over-masturbate tend to experience lack of concentration, focus, fatigue, and this is a direct result of depleting their bodies of serotonin.


    Some of the people I have helped are clueless and don’t understand that pain usually means something is wrong. If ejaculating hurts…stop doing it! Frequent ejaculations deplete your body of prostaglandin E-1 and until the body can produce sufficient amounts of that nutrient, there will be pain and soreness after ejaculating. Allowing the body to recover before ejaculating again is the first step. People also complain of pain in the prostate (which is due to an enlarged prostate that also restricts urine flow and contributes to incontinency) after ejaculation. I tell them that their PSA levels have been elevated too high and won’t return to normal levels until another day or so. This is why the prostate is swollen and should be given time to rest before ejaculating again."

People are programmed to be sexual (like all things in nature though humans are the only species that actually reproduce because it is pleasurable) and some people start masturbating at a very young age around 5 or 6. Masturbating this young is often a result of a traumatic experience and because masturbation feels good, they use it as a form of therapy to cope with such tragedies like a death in the family. However, if these children begin to rely on masturbation and do so chronically, they are almost guaranteed to keep this habit with them as they age and mature. Masturbation before puberty is particularly damaging for males as the necessary hormones and nutrients are essential for a male’s growth during this time. That is why many people who have over-masturbated themselves during their youth are underweight or short. They also have deformities in their penises and lose hair sooner. I blame this on child circumcision as the glans penis gets exposed early and young boys become aware of the pleasurable sensations earlier in life without getting a chance to learn about their bodies first.
    Many people have been raised to believe that masturbation is not damaging and is natural and is done by everybody; if you don’t do it there is something wrong with you. Likewise there have been people who have been raised to believe that masturbation is a disgusting and horrible act. I choose to stand in between these two points of view. It is my firm belief that masturbation is normal and healthy if kept to a minimum. It should be used to primarily experiment and allow a person to become more familiar with their body and the sensations and pleasures it can bring. Like alcohol consumption, a little is healthy, a lot is very unhealthy; the same goes for masturbation.

    ok...so ....the question then becomes...how does one resolve the symptoms that may be caued by this...I am aware of maca...but what else.

    I have great difficulty sleeping and often masturbation is the only thing that puts me out....additionally, because I do not sleep...I am often in constant pain due to my body not revovering fully from workouts so I also do this when that pain is unbearable.....

    What other supps may mitigate any damage I have done????

    your worrying too much about this -but if your workouts result in pain -should you be working out at all?

    This M.D. Sounds like a jerk. No pun intended. He wallows betwee masturbation and over-masterbation without even differentiating between the two. He sounds like everyone else out therevtrying to sell something. He is blaming most of mans ailments on masturbation, baldness, insomnia, shortness, on and on. Where are the studies to prove it?     I do believe there is some merit to this however as i am exhausted for 3 days after I JO.....I am going to try taking the precursors to the things that this allegedly depletes and see if that helps.

    OMG, exhausted for 3 days? Why would it make much of a diff if you JO or actually have sex? I actually am much more satisfied/ wouldn't call it drained, from real deal sex. Regardless, I'd go see a real doc, sounds severe!

    Yeah maybe im weird but after sex my wife is the tired one and I am energized. I normally can not fall asleep for a few hours afterwards. This is BS anyway, the only thing I could see being a problem is if you dont consume anything with zinc in it and you go sex/hand crazy, since every time you ejaculate you use up a bunch of zinc.

    i think men overmasturbate from young ages due to circumcision which exposes sensitive nerves. normally men wouldnt start masturbating at young ages or as frequently..

    i think more than 3-4x a week you'll run into problems.

    i think it causes alot of problems.... just my opinion
    now it doesnt effect everyone.... the same as someone can smoke and live to 100..

    Testosterone rises for 6-7 days during abstinence, but then falls again after. If you bust a nut only once every 6-7 days, this keeps your levels optimal. Only a priest or monk can have that level of control though lol (or maybe someone with low test levels). Maybe these monks have an easier time abstaining because their test levels are in the dumps.

    If anything, too much jerkin or sex raises prolactin levels. If someone is sensitive to this or already have high levels, then it will cause them fatigue and low libido, etc. fact, not bull****, at least for PROL. Nothing that a bit of L-DOPA + P5P + EGCG won't help though. Or even better, some deprenyl + PEA pre sex chain-session.

    There is always someone coming up with some outrageous claim or another.
    I am not saying excessive masturbation will not have bad effects, but as several other posters have said, what is excessive and who has time to do it multiple times a day.

    And for those of us who are unmarried and not in committed relationships, sometimes the urge comes and it needs to be satiated.
    Also in some cases a guy just wants to get that release without all the attached obligations of relationships.
    Mucuna , Avena, and LJ100 are great in that area.


    I say masturbate away.
    The once every 6 day situation does seem to work well anecdotally for test levels.
