Going to new Dr. in 2 weeks.
See a few different lists out there on what tests the Dr. should be ordering up.
I have Jan's blood test I found here (his 1x per year list).

Does this look reasonable to try and assess my issues?

I am 37 and my GP ordered basic tests (using Lab Corp)
CBC w/ Diff/Plate
Comp Metabolic Panel
Rotuine Urinalysis
Lipd/Chol Panel

Free and Total Test

Serum test was 172 (range 241-827
Free (direct) 5.1 (range 8.7 -25.1)

From my brief research into HRT, obviously, not enough.
He put me on 1 tube testim per day and it worked for a week and now basically does nothing.

This is the list I plan on going in with to test now, thoughts?

Pretty much JanSz' list of what he has done.
It seems as good as any I have seen so far.

How long should I stop testim before taking this test?

Thanks.

I am not sure if you will get much usefull info by testing while you are on one tube of Testim.

You already know that it is not enough.
At this moment you do not know if 2 tubes would work.

I assume that you do not have any other tests to show.
If you do, post it.

To salvage your effort into testim, I suggest that you ask doc for permission to increase to 2 tubes.
Stay on 2 tubes for 3 weeks then do testing.

By using Testim right away you have basically forfeighted checking your testicles status and possibility of running just HCG.

The other possibility (I like it more) would be to stay on one tube of Testim and add
250iu HCG shots EOD (EveryOtherDay)
retest 6 weeks latter or even latter.

Blood draw.
Keep you schedule of Testim exactly on schedule, best probably to apply at 7:30AM every day, to coordinate with lab hours.
Draw blood at 7:30AM at Quest or LabCorp, 24hrs zero minutes after last application. You can make timely appointment at Quest, using internet.
Be fasting 9-12 hours. Drink 16oz of clear water 2 hrs before draw.
If you are on daily Testim and EOD 250iu HCG,
do HCG shots and testim at the sam time,
draw blood on the day of the HCG-shot before shot.

My list is made for Quest, if you would have to use LabCorp the list have to be tweaked.
----------

Just so you know, dr John ask to draw blood 2-4 hrs after transdermal testosterone application.
That will give you maximum T level, something that lasts probably less than 1 hour out of 24 hours in the day.

------------------------------------------------------------
Get script for HCG so you are legal.
but
buying from local pharmacy you will get 10000iu portions.
That is too much, will last too long, HCG have doubtfull shelf life.

Unles you can get Ovidrel, supposedly lasts very long.
Unless you are sure that you will always use Ovidrel it is not worth trying.
Hard to figure equivalent doses between Ovidrel and "normal" HCG.
Opinions vary, you would be forced to make your ovn experimenting to sort it out.

otherwise
consider buying from internet.
you can get 1000iu, 1500iu, 2000iu portions
at very good price
and much more important you will always use fresh HCG.

Thanks. I will have to ue lab corp so what tweaks do I need?

What if I stop the testim a week before the blood draw?
Is it not worth it to do that?

The only other test results I have are for the basic stuff from the Panel, no other hormone related stuff.

What about an AI?

I am very sensitive to estro/aromatase and probably have a high natural estro levels to begin with.

Having children is of no concern (right now anyway).

I am also looking to switch to 2xs week injects vs. the testim.

Stopping Testim before blood draw will be less than useless.
Keep what you are doing, apply one Testim tube/day
if you
are not able
to change to one of the alternatives I suggested above.
---------------------------
I corrected the script for use at LabCorp

Just print it out.
Have doc put his and yours name on top plus a date,
then sign in the bottom
and you are ready to go.

If you are going to see that doc that you mentioned,
he or his assistant may recognize the script.
Not sure if that is good or bad.

Not sure if you want to have him study and edit the ICD-9 codes on the bottom. You may want to copy from post #44 the long explanations of what those numbers mean and have them with you.

Ok, just ordered the liquid anastroz from Chemone.

What do you reco I take when I get it?

How do you measure .15cc- insulin pin? 1.5 notches?

Should I not take it before my bloodtests or should I take it EOD as soon as I get it?

I def know I am suffereing a bit from high estro (and was prone to it when I cycled many years ago).

Thanks again and Oh, already cut down on the ****ty carbs and stuff.

have not started training yet (when I move out, I will join gym since I am moving back down to central jersey from north).

I am down 10lbs past 2-3 weeks just from eating less.

Thanks again.
Attached two pictures show

#1 how I fill my tiny insuline syringes with 31Ga needles with testosterone

#2 how tough are those needles, they go thru sole of sneaker

#3 look at the scale

these are:
BD Ultrafine II U-100 Insulin Syringe 31 Gauge 3/10cc 5/16inch Short Needle--1/2 Unit Markings 100/b Price: $27.80

I buy them from hocks

syringe have a volume 3/10cc
0.3cc=30 units

on picture you can see the numbers

15 units is a half way thru

To draw Anastrozole you have to cut out needle completely.
I use nail pliers.

If you are sure that you have high E2 and want to lover it some, you can take
15 units EOD EveryOtherDay

but do blood test about month or more afterward, otherwise you will not get good results.

.
Not totally true, he can taper off the testim and completely onto HCG to see how HCG mono works for him. Testes can get fired back up even after heavy supression.

The other possibility (I like it more) would be to stay on one tube of Testim and add
250iu HCG shots EOD (EveryOtherDay)
retest 6 weeks later or even later.
I think this is also the better option.

I really do not like the testim and am looking to switch to at least 2xs per week injections.

I have no issue adding in HCG and an AI as I am sensitive to estro for sure.

Run 50 mgs of T 2 times a week retest in 6 weeks do not add an AI untill you get blood work done. Or have a ZRT lab blood spot on hand if you think e2 is getting high.

Going to new Dr. today.

Still on my 1 tube of testim. I have liquid arimidex, but have not used it yet.

I will probably do blood test this week in AM and will post up results.

I def. want to switch to inj as I do not think 1 tube testim is enough, do not like it's inconvenience, and very expensive compared to 2xs week injects.

Depending on results, I am anticipating the 50mgs or 75mg x 2 inj to start with .25mg arimidex 2xs per week, with 250ius hcg 2xs per week.

or something very similar to this and see how it goes.

I wouldn't be opposed to GH at 2-3 ius per day if they insurance covers and gh is low :)

Never made it to Doc as the girl in office never wrote down my Apt. :(

Going tomorrow.

Have not started HCG yet, but still on 1 tube testim and have added .25mg 2xs per week as I could feel my estro getting a bit high.

I will not go do 2nd dose of Arimidex this week and will do the test 3-4 days after last arimidex dose.

Hopefully, I won't have a problem again tomorrow at Dr.

You should have with you as many old blood tests as you have.
Most important is a test that will prove that at one time you were low on testosterone.

Make sure that your doc have a copy of such report in your file.

To justify prescribing any form of external testosterone doctor needs back-up.

Additionally, if you have prescription plan, some plans require a yearly review before they will send you testosterone. You and yor doc need copy of that report FOREVER.

If you get to the point that doctor is ready to write testosterone script for you, ask him, instead, to call your prescription plan.
That is to avoid or iron out any problems.

So, if you have prescription plan;
have ID#
have phone #
have any contact name, if you are using it
just in case, give him credit card # (plus the # on back of credit card)
credit card will pay for any deductible.
your name, address, phone #

Have all above written with you, after you see doc, if he wants to write script for Test or anything else that prescription plan pay for, he will tell about it to that little blonde, and she will take over from doctor.
