I've seen cases where both hcg and clomid were used simultaneously. What would be the benefit of this? Both are a method of increasing LH, so would this "double dose" be effective?
What's the half-life of clomid? I wonder if could serve a useable purpose as an adjunct to hcg. Many clomid protocols recommend 3x/week, it could be utilized on days hcg is not used??? This would apply to only those on hcg monotherapy.
I don't see any reason to supplement HCG with clomid. I think those who do are in a post cycle transition. Clomid stays active for 5 to 7 days much like HCG - just a different pathway to your balls.
Only recently I heard about using clomid E3D. If indeed that protocol is effective, wouldn't it be a viable alternative to HCG? I imagine infrequent dosing would eliminate the toxicity issue. I posted this question on another thread but no one has responded. Quite frankly, I'd rather stimulate LH production that replace it.
I concur...I would also rather stimulate LH production rather than replace it. It would probably fill up the pathways more efficiently and lead to less deficiencies (i.e. suboptimal dhea, dht, etc).
HCG can raise DHT levels substantially. That I know for a fact.
Unfortunately, it didn't raise mine. Or dhea for that matter. At least not in proportion to what TT and BAT was.
Weren't you scheduled to try an oral form of hcg. What ever came about of that?
The pharmacy never came through on the oral unfortunately. I don't recall how much HCG you were on. Can you refresh my memory. Higher doses have spiked my DHT over 110. I know others who have gone higher on less.
I was on 250iu EOD. Not a large quantity but this had my TT over 1260. DHT was mid range and DHEA was low midrange.
Various factors could have played a part in that as well. Mainly stress.
Those are extraordinary results for such a low dose. Do you recall your DHT. Mine is normally up near 80 when I approach a TT level of 1000. Of course everyone is different. Someone told me their DHT hit 120 with a TT level just over 1000.
