reduction in the sense of touch... and my unknown illness need advice...

Im pretty ill... im 19 years old, 192cm around 95kgs and my life has taken a turn for the worst apparently from all the investigations i have done nothing is wrong with me! its horrible the following started 4 months ago first i had a million different symptoms then right now these are the only ones.

    Note:

Heavy weight training for 2 years since janurary 2007 3 days a week, not always using good form, so im thinking possible nerve damage or injury or something, was using up to 45-47.5kgs per side on dumbbell bench press in janurary for 6 reps

In april 2008 i used injectable steroids from someone in the gym 2 injections per week for 4 weeks after that i experienced extreme weight gain, bloating, moon face almost like an allergic reaction, the steroids werent even labelled from a friend i got... the bottles are presently being tested by my endocrinologist.

Then in July 2008 i used DNP 400mg for 2 weeks i didnt even lose any weight on it but got very hot and lethargic then 1 month after that these symptoms appeared and continue to destroy me day in day out...

have been taking large amounts of vitamin/mineral supplements for 2 years until i stopped recently.

    Symptoms:

    * lethargy and fatigue all the time (no energy to do much of anything)
    * Muscle soreness and cramping when i try to lift something and hold it for a while like carrying shopping bags my arm gets very sore quickly and i have to drop whatever im holding, huge reduction in muscle strength.
    * bone pain all over sometimes and clicking/cracking of the joints, bones in the lower legs feel a bit painful and tender to the touch
    * occassionally difficulty breathing, hard to breathe in deeply.
    * loss of appetite and weight loss of 13kgs in 3 months
    * sore throat, tingling in the nose and throat.
    * reduction in the sense of touch.
    * Always dehydrated and thirsty
    * when eating food feels like its getting stuck sometimes or something is obstructing the stomach inside me.
    * recent eye irriation like an infection.
    * sometimes very cold hands and feet and chills (freezing cold) feels immune related body fighting something.

    * (i used hydrogen peroxide in a nasal spray mist to spray in my mouth to inhale deeply as i have read it kills bacteria and opens up your lungs... when i do this and hold my breath their is a large pulsing sensation where my stomach is just under the heart like something is bloody living inside me and is reacting to the peroxide)

    Investigations:

    * complete blood counts always appear normal, sometimes elevated lymphocytes and white cells suggesting infection, at present white cells are on the low side 5.0 (4.0 - 11.0)

    * High IgE levels of 3810 normal range is 0-100 (immunologist said these symptoms cannot be caused by ige levels).... very allergic to dust mites and common grasses, take anti-histamine every day. (forgot to tell immunologist about DNP use!) but will as soon as i see him again.

    * RAST test showed allergy to milk and strawberries

    * Food sensitivity tests done and now avoiding any foods im sensitive to but it appears i'm not sensitive to many not even wheat

    * Cytotoxic chemical sensitivity showed immune reaction to ammonium chloride (ammoniac), lynene and chloroform.

    * Awaiting results of hair mineral analysis to see if i have heavy metal toxicity/poisoning

    * DEXA scan showed normal Bone mineral density besides (low normal density in the spine)

    * Lung function tests (spirometry) normal done requested by chest specialist

    * CT scan of the chest showed residual thymic tissue but within normal limits for a patient of my age everything else normal.

    * Abdominal ultrasound normal besides right kidney 13.5cm and left kidney 9.5cm

    * Gastroenterologist to do a colonoscopy and gastroscopy in a few days

    * endoscopy apparently normal besides mild inflammation ( according to them)

    * endocrine problems (low thyroid thyroid peroxide autoantibodies significantly elevated, low testosterone) - had these for a while so its definitly not whats causing symptoms. taking thyroxine at present makes my shortness of breath a lot worse!

    * Cortisol Synacthen test (acth stimulation test) normal

    * Delayed sleep phase cycle (getting up 3-4 times a night sometimes to eat) like night eating syndrome) for the past 3 years. Low Growth hormone levels probably due to this, note i am very tall 192cm so i must've had high GH levels sometime in my life.

About to do a sleep study.

    * random blood sugar test normal (3.4 - 7.0 ) mine is 3.9

    * glucose tolerance test apparently normal

    * All Autoimmune testing normal ANCA and ANA antibodies all normal as well as protein electrophores and rheumatoid factor normal!

    * MRI of brain all normal!

    * Stool tests all normal no bacteria or parasites!

Just need some help on what the hell is causing all this.... im leaning to wards the DNP causing my immune system to become weak and not able to "eat" foreign material anymore.

    Thank You Very Much.

    Ummm, damn dude.

You do realize that we are not DR's, right?
I'm sorry to hear about your illness, though.
I've read several places that people that used DNP suffered from various bouts with depression/extreme lethargy/etc.
I don't know. I wish you the best.

Metal, sorry to hear about your declining health. I've been on a health roller coaster myself, searching for a cause to my weird symptoms (mainly severe insomnia). I am interested to see your hair analysis.

It sounds like you have a lot of allergy/immune issues. This can really mess you up and make you feel like crap. Have you ever tested whole blood histamine? I just did this and it came back like this:

    WHOLE BLOOD HISTAMINE 151 ng/ml [20-200]

Your typical doctor will say this is fine and can't cause symptoms.. but orthomolecular doctors recognize a condition called histadelia when histamine is over 70 ng/ml. It is caused by under-methylation with exposure to allergens (environmental, food etc).

I thought i was fked up LOL
Any way you need to look at lifestyle, nutrition imbalances, hormonal imbalances as well. To me it sounds like you have a snow ball effect going on from prior steroid use that started a chain reaction into sympathetic domince mode. Low testosterone usually means cortisol is involved some way some how. If I had all the lab work and more information. I could sift through all the bull and get to the root cause of the issue..

Please please please visit NAET.COM and find a good NAET practitioner near you! Your IGE Is very high. My IGE was 1190 before I found a NAET practitioner and I was allergic to almost all the foods and dust and dust mites. IF you want PM me with your email address and I can forward you the list of thinigs I was allergic to. I have gone through 10 basic treatments and now I can eat eggs (after 1.5years I am eating eggs!) and other foods like Spinach, milk, etc. Please clear out your allergies. Your symptoms are allergic reactions in my opinion.
I used to get pharynjitis and for almost 1.5year my throat has been in constant pain and my life had been destroyed completely. I have put on 6inches on my waist but since my treatment stared on november 3 I am so much better! my dust (I am, myself, allergic to dust and dust mites) allergy is much better and I sleep without a face mask!
Please do NAET from a good practitioner. I hate allergy. I Wish everyone knows about this brilliant thing.

Also examine leaky gut and dybosis as some sort of hidden infection. Stool samples show crap (LOL), you need to get tier 3 testing for accurate results or go to out side lab they tend to find alot more organisms. But hidden allergies play a huge role which are usually adrenal/thyroid imbalancs.

I promise you if you find a good NAET guy ..and do the treatments ..your life would really improve..Ive suffered so much that is why I am now so passionate about helping people with allergies. For 1.5year I have just eaten wheat and potatoes (All I could eat without fking up my throat)..and even with wheat I used to get loosemotions. Last week my Grain mix was done by my naet practitioner..and if I eat wheat now..no loosemotions..my colon was allergic to wheat and my practitioner herself had told me this without me telling her anything. It is really effective. Best of luck. PM me or post here if you have any further questions..Glad to help.

I do this crap well sort of LOL
i find energy blockages thorugh muscle testing and have my little laser and can do no evasive accupunture

I'm getting to the point to were I do not need any medical testing too verify what I find out. Accuracy rate is 90% plus.

What is an example of a NAET treatment? Does it involve removing all foods you like from your diet for a year??

Well they do MRT (muscle reponse testing) to find out what you are allergic to. Then the first treament is chicken and egg. You hold 2 small bottles containing them and they do accpressure on your back for 3-4minutes. then you lie down straight and they put 2 needles on each hand and leg for 20mins just lie down. After that avoid eating and touching any chicken and egg product for 25hours.Then you are cleared.I have passed all my treatments in one go.The avoidance can be a little hard but if you really want to get better and get rid of all this illness..it is really easy. Ive not found it difficult and I really am thankful to my doctors and the inventor of NAET(dr.Devi).
IF you really want to be ok..its not hard at all.

hehe..going through a good practitioner is best man..just find the nearest one near you and find one who has done the most advanced level..
however it is really nice if you can do it yourself..nothing beats that.

Hey sry to not have replied for so long but i dont hav the net so bare with me....

Colonoscopy and panendoscopy was done..... their is no helicobacter infection or other major problems besides mild oesophagal inflammation and the gastric mucosa is quite red and the colon is also convolute slight twisted but my doctor did several biopsies to see if the problem is leaky gut so i will get that checked out soon.

Im aware of leaky gut and am taking glutamine as it is able to heal the lining of the intestinal walls.

I doubt its allergies.... but could be, i did a RAST test tested allergies for wheat, egg, whole milk, etc.... all the main foods and im only allergic to whole milk but i get no symptoms from it. The food sensitivity testing also showed no obvious problems.

But the hair mineral analysis did...

I have low chromium and very low manganese levels which would describe my bone pain and possibly a few other symptoms but the main thing is i have VERY HIGH MERCURY LEVELS!!!

    Mercury 0.0 - 0.60 Mine is at 2.45!

So i am about to see a toxicologist for this and probably do chelation therapy. It seems like ive had the problem for a long time without much problem and when i used the DNP BAM!!! it was too much for the body to handle.

I have no idea how i could have been exposed to high levels of mercury besidses possibly sitting on the computer for too long but i doubt its that im outside all the time now. The DNP definitly caused this. NO ONE should ever use DNP EVER! IT IS NOTHING BUT POISON!

The hormone problems i will start taking t3/t4 again but i cant imagine being on testosterone replacement for the rest of my life + i had a bad reaction to the steroids i used prior like an allergic reaction with the injectables, when i used oral anavar their was no problems.

The histamine test is quite useful and im about to do that as soon as i can, i mean ive done so much testing so far and have basically single handledly found what is wrong with me while my endocrinologist is saying "your having panic attacks" and telling me im not a candidate for testosterone therapy lol

I just want to get back into bodybuilding because i love it so god damn much....

I mean i got up to 240lbs at 6"3 i mean i didnt have abs but i wasnt fat either and i was strong and big.... with huge shoulders and i did that WITH low thyroid WITH low testosterone and WITH elevated cortisol and low growth hormone levels against all odds. Training only 3 days per week!, supplementing, eating LOTS! and sleeping 24/7. All within a period of a year. But i was pushing myself to the max every session till i could go no more and beyond fatigue and lightheadedness.

Another thing is i feel like my body has completely changed im now lean and im eating normally not restrictively or anything and not evene xercising regularly only when i can with the energy issues basketball and the gym a little bit. And my muscles are in decent shape not big or anything but still ok at 95kgs at 6"3 so definitly body has changed.

But in other aspects of life im now very more social, feel the need for a girlfriend, feel like i want to do things, drive, listen to music, go out, play guitar, fix things etc...

This is all the doings of mercury... hwo the **** it got into me i dont know maybe possibly due to the radiation when i came here in 1994 we came from serbia my family and we we're exposed to radiation from chernobyl. Grandmother has eye problems from it, mother has problems from it, father has problems from it even my sister with hue allegies and endocrine problems.

    Consider
Consider “4 R” approach to GI health:

    1) Remove mucosal irritants such as allergenic foods, alcohol, gluten (if sensitive), NSAIDS:
    • Consider elimination diet
    • Remove possible pathogens (bacteria, yeast, parasites)
    • Consider Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA) or Comprehensive Parasitology, Bacterial Overgrowth of the Small Intestine Breath Test
Reduce sugar, refined carbohydrates, saturated fat, red meat (meat can induce bacterial enzyme activity)
    • Restore proper transit time
–Increase dietary fiber (esp. insoluble) and water

    2) Replace agents for digestive support:
Consider pancreatic or plant enzymes, bile salts, betaine HCl, digestive herbs, or disaccharidases (e.g. lactase) where needed
    • Consider CDSA, Lactose Intolerance Breath Test (or other disaccharide) to rule out disaccharidase deficiency

    3) Reinoculate with friendly bacteria, if low:
    • Consider CDSA, Microbiology, or Comprehensive Parasitology to rule out gut flora insufficiencies
    • Consider probiotic supplementation, including Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria
    • Consider fructooligosaccharides and inulin to enhance growth of friendly flora

    4) Repair mucosal lining:
    • Consider L-glutamine, EFAs, zinc, pantothenic acid, vitamins C, E, and A, beta carotene, N-acetyl glucosamine, gamma oryzanol, glycerrhiza, aloe vera
    • Consider antioxidants such as vitamins C, E and A, selenium, carotenoids, glutathione, N-acetyl cysteine, pycnogenol and flavonoids
    • Consider Saccharomyces boulardii, whey globulin concentrate, or bovine colostrum to improve local immunity
    • Consider ginkgo biloba to enhance circulation to intestinal epithelium

Going to back to some thing that almost killed you does not make sense you are asking for a death wise. ...FIND A NEW HOBBIE AND LIFESTYLE...God already knocked on your door..Next time he may not be so gracious and may be drop a brick on your head to wake up. Your issue are all adrenals related from all the stimiluants you used and abuseed your body. If your dumb enough to do it again be my guess. If your constiution is wacked out then you have a genetic predisoption to hyperthyroidism. Did they check you for graves or hashimotos at all ?

At present i am not able to go back to bodybuilding. And my future plans with it are just to train normally 3 days a week like other people develop some muscle and thats it.

I have hypothyroidism and high amounts of auto antibodies thyroid peroxidase antibodies.

At present i am getting sick ALL THE TIME! I go out to play basketball with friends next day i get sick blocked nose, dizziness weakness, i go to the gym next day i catch some terrible infection in the ear.

Even when driving somehwere far away i start to feel irriation in my eyes and mouth and generally unwell like my immune system is completely gone to ****. So i stay within my area, my doctors visits and thats it, going anywhere else now just makes me sick THATS THE PROBLEM!

This has nothing to do with hormones, or nutritional imbalances and all to do with immunology and heavy metal overload!

My immunologist said he wanted to check T cell substrates.... lymphocyte typing... so this will likely diagnose either high or low T cells and tell me what is going on.... could be HIV could be anything... best not to think about it till i get the results.

Im taking L-glutamine, EFA's, zinc, vitamin C, echinacea, Vitamin D, Selenium, probiotics in high doses, lactoferrin. Have previously used saccharomyces boulardii and inulin. I am using digestive enzymes, drinking plenty of water, reduced the amount of meat im eating considerablly, i dont drink alcohol, i avoid all allergenic foods, and gluten even though im not sensitive and it isnt doing all that much!

My body cant handle anything i get sick very quickly..... and im getting broke spending all this money on all this crap i am far from wealthy.

And if this is an immune deficency then it isnt showing on my white cell count... my body isnt recognising invading bacteria/pathogens and fighting them.

Tell your doctor about your DNP use.

If you have any DNP pills left have them tested. That could be where the mercury came from. A clue is the inflamed or irritated gastrointestinal mucosa...that is the site of absorption.

The actions of DNP also presumed to be in that DNP pill could have magnified the damage.

The good news is that with treatment all of the symptoms you have are reversible. Hang in there.

Hair analysis would confirm that or DMSA urine challege
If you catch it early it would be early to chelate. Do you have anaglams (fillings?)

    Probiotics with enzymes and prebiotics
take separately from any other food intake an hour or so before or after meals.
Keep taking lots of them, the best quality that you can get.
Do not stop taking them for a really long time.
Best if you could get CDSA-2.0 test from Genova, you would learn where you stand.
Warning, this test cost me $750, unusual because all the time, my insurance pays for this type of work.
well, except Hair Analysys, about $50.
    ------------------

    Do Hair Analysis.
IIRC, I think you have access to Genova Diagnostics.

Anyhow, if you want to try pre-emptively, try this for the next 6 months or so and after that, say at 9th month do the Hair analysis,:

DNP, mercury fillings = big ass leaky gut and liver intoxifcation issues.

Plug the whole then detox the liver.

Well ive always had ALT and AST of about 75 for both and the range was 0-45 for both and i had no clue why. But recently BOTH fell to 38 and 31 respectively... and my eGFR for the kidneys went from 76 in july to 82 right now so things on paper have improved.

Probably my probiotic supplementation, candida awareness and awareness of GI health has helped.

Glutamine has also been a tremendous help.

I have used lots of milk thistle in liquid form a month ago.

    I have no mercury fillings.

As far as supplements go.... i dont want to be oversupplementing

So this is what im taking:

    * Probiotics (acidophilus bifidus, rhamnous, saccharomies (cant spell it), and bifidum. 25billion per capsule, Taking 3-4 per day.
    * Lactoferrin (comes in 200mg capsules ) 3 per day
    * L-glutamine 10-15grams per day
    * Manganese 40mg per day (due to deficency)
    * Chromium 400mcg per day (due to deficency)
    * Iron is 7.8 (range 4.0 - 17.0) Is their a need to supplement???
    * Vitamin D 2000IU per day

I have just used a 2 week course of Nilstat anti-fungals and they have helped me... as soon as i went off them i started feeling worse... now i am back on them and feeling better 3 tablets per day 500,000 IU per tablet.

I recently had a candida antibodies test done...

    No infection <15
    Borderline 15-25
Recent or current candida infection 25>

    Candida antibodies - 29.8

Is their a link between candida and mercury toxicity?

Also i need advice on diet..... i cant eat much protein foods i feel i cant digest them, and then theirs the issue of eating too many carbohydrates due to candida so then what to eat?

I have recently not been paying attention to eating in any particular way have been eating chocolates and cookies. But my diet is mostly comprised of corn based cereals, rice milk and rice bread, yogurt, cottage cheese, vegetables, nuts and beans. Not really avoiding gluten since i'm not allergic or intolerant to it.

Hair analysis would confirm what? I have done a hair analysis....

I am presently going to see a toxicologist so i think they will know how to help me...

Has anyone here heard of a Dr. Tom Borody? i think he is very well known around the world well he is my gastroenterologist and when he heard about my high mercury levels he is referring me to a excellent toxicologist.

Is their anything i can pick up over the counter for chelation therapy? L-cysteine perhaps...

I had extreme tremors about 2 times ti happened to me where i woke up from sleep and was shaking like crazy and my pulse was 150bpm this happened in september i read this is caused by mercury. Also I keep having swelling in my lower back and glutes and this has been happening for a LONG time but never knew what was causing it, to the point where i sometimes have to loosen my belt then it goes away later on. Just a few more things id thought id add.

Cholrella has to be in a certain kind or its just a waste of money. To get most bang for your buck it needs to be nanonized in order to get in side the cell. I have a protocol that i use for leaky gut that has been pretty successful, but you need to have the parasites and bacteria indentifed first so you can use proper therapy to remove them or other wise it because a futile battle. When dealing with heavy metals you have to know what you are doing because if you go hanking it the blood stream and your detoxication is not working properly then it just gets moved to other areas of the body to be stored. It will be come more difficult to remove it. Things need to be done slow and steady in layers other wise you will make your self even sicker ..

This is all so overwheling at times... i cannot think straight.

If it is indeed a severe candida problem i can get IV infusions with some anti-fungal medication at a hospital which i can try to convince my GP to do. He is very understanding and he is the FIRST doctor to give my nilstat tablets right away when he saw my anti-bodies results to the candida species. He also agreed that the mercury toxicity could definitly be causing this when he saw my hair analysis.

Other doctors have simply told me "candida only exists in the mouth and reproductive organs it cant exist anywhere else".

I have been having urine difficulties, sore mouth and taste problems, problems with digestion and also recently i get these mini hives like bread crumbs on the skin or something like that when i get really itchy skin... and i scratch them off.

I was ALLERGIC to injectable steroids i used in march in my opinion, not allergic to oral anavar + that really added to my candida problems. The DNP added to my mercury issues and my body simply popped!

I have used diflucan once and had a severe reaction to it i couldnt breath for 12 hours very well i was huffing and puffing went to the ER they told me it wasnt anaphylaxis so then what the hell was it... idiots

Candida and Mercury i will focus on. I have to be strict about the diet yes... and the mercury i need to research more to get a better understanding of it.

In terms of testing CDSA or comprehensive parasitology, microbiology etc... which would be the most benefiical? and will any of these show excessive candida overgrowth?, i am not very familiar with these tests.

And can anyone fill me in on what each test the CDSA. parasitology and microbiology can detect in my body? and is genova the only lab who does these?

Mercury Poisoning, Candida Yeast, Or Is It Both?

If you have chronic yeast infections or candida you must look into the possibility of mercury poisoning. The general line of thought is the body produces yeast as a defense against excess metals. The yeast cell binds and absorbs its own weight in mercury and prevents it from entering the blood stream. What the yeast can't deal with is disposed of as methyl mercury.

Methyl mercury now goes everywhere as it passes through the intestinal wall. The body's macrophages and master antioxidant glutathione try to clean up and detoxify this on-going mess. At some point they become weakened and depleted, tired, and worn out.

How to make home made kefir?

The milk that I can buy is homogenized.

I had no problem getting milk to sour when starting with natural milk straight from the cow.

Not sure if homoginized milk would work.
Infrequently, when my milk gets out of date, is stinks, spoils, but it is not getting sour, still edable.

Yes, I see complete coconuts nuts in my store.
    What to do with them?

I feel as though my immune system has gone to crap! I go to the shopping centre and i start feeling unwell at times with extreme lethargy/fatigue, the worst is when i go inside a car and are driving on the freeway i start to feel like im dieing so i have to avoid any lengthy car trips anywhere, the train is a lot better for me.

Another thing i notice i feel worst in the morning and afternoons when evening and night time rolls around i start feeling pretty good and well and the fatigue seems to go away and i have more energy.

    For allergies i take a daily anti-histamine.

I keep getting diarrhoea, sometimes unexplained mild fevers and recurrent infections.

I dont know if this is reversible i hope to god it is...

I have read that DNP can cause your immune system to stop detecting foreign material e.g. bacteria/viruses and then your stuck with immune deficency. Anybody know if their is any truth to this?

What testing can be done for this beside the T cell substrates?

And i really doubt candida itself is the cause of any of this rather the side effect of my current immune compromised health, i think the naturopaths are talking a lot of bull**** when it comes to candida causing so many problems.

You are getting tired. Stick to plan.

Test for candida, fight it, test again.
After candida is under control, talk about naturopaths or anybody else.

Same goes for other already identified defficiencies.

As i have said 100 times before.
You can not conquer candida unless your relieve the stress crushing the HPTA. This is done through stress management and reducing beta and inducing an alpha state.

I would say it again..your histamine levels are way too high. Goto a NAET practitioner. In my opinion, it should make a lot of difference.

Jansz that 4 R approach to GI health is excellent it sums up how to fix ur gut problems.

I was wondering if u have a similar summary for other areas of health such as immune, metabolic, nutritional, endocrine... i really want to get a hold of my health and now everything their is to know about everything. If not anywhere i can get information...

and what exactly are these organic acids and how are they involved in proper metabolic function...

I was reading low levels of certain acids cause low levels of neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, noradrenaline etc... i myself have low dopamine and noradrenalin/adrenalin levels.

In my post #32 on this thread
    look for

    interpretation guide

for each test that I listed there.

Interpretation guide tells you what to do with test results.

Some guides are frendlier than others.

The guide that gives you 4 R approach is excellent.
    Print it out.
