Sup guys i am very confused. I just recently had a blood test and these are the values i got.

Total Testosterone -----12.7 ---------- 8.4 - 28.7 nmol/L
Estradiol ------------------ 99 ---------- 43 - 151 pmol/L
Prolactin ------------------ 14 ---------- 2 - 18 ug/L
Cortisol ------------------ 593 --------- 170 - 720 nmol/L
Free T3 -------------------- 5.5 ----------3.5 - 6.5 pmol/L
Free T4 -------------------- 18 --- ---------- 9 -23 pmol/L
DHEA-s -------------------- 8.2 ----------7.6 - 17.4 umol/L
Progesterone ----------- 4.0 ---------- < 4.0 nmol/L
FSH ------------------------- 4 --------------- 2 - 8 IU/L
LH --------------------------- 4 --------------- 2 - 6 IU/L

Some websites state that progesterone antagonizes estrogen but my e2 seems to be fine. Other sites state that progesterone sensitizes estrogen receptors.

I have also read that progesterone could have actions in the pituatary. Could this be causing my total test to be on the lower side?

If anyone has any feedback that would be helpful.

Thanks.

Progesterone ----------- 4.0 ---------- < 4.0 nmol/L

Looks like you have a perfect Progesterone.

Dr John does not want to look at progesterone, and definitely do not want to supplement progesterone when low.

Dr Hertoghe in his presentation ($20) support supplementing (male) with progesterone pills or creams up to to desired level.
