Frequent Urination and Low testosterone?

Does anyone know if low testosterone causes frequent urination? thanks to an injury that created a Varicocele I woke up one morning and had to constantly urinate and no longer had a sex drive(been this way for about 2 months, though my body is getting used to the lower sex drive) also would it do anything to your immune system by making you sicker and maybe cause an enlarged spleen? I am still trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me


And my testosterone is not that low according to standards, I took a test and it came back at 414, but considering I woke up one night and all these things happened, and I know basically every minute of my life since I was 12 years old I had been a horny bastard, to me that is low(I am 28 now)

I have both low testosterone and spend most of my night urinating. I have read that this is a combination of effects that often has to do with a bad bi lateral varicocele problem (my research). So you probably have the same as me. Varicocele stuffs up the hormones when its bad and testosterone since anything that affects the blood supply running smooth to the testicles affects these elements too

You might also have prostate issues. Pressing on bladder or restricting urinary tract causing the urine flow to be irregular.I dont mean necessarily enlarged prostrate - you can have an infection of that part

Then there is also the possibility of Kidney cancer. That causes frequent urination

The last cause I know of is STD's. But if you havent been playing around with loose women then factor this one out.

In short...if you are like me you will get in and get all bases covered and tested. At the end of that...all I had left to explain my situation was enlarged varicocele. And on Sept 29 I get it operated on. Cant wait.

I have low test and once it got low i started pissing ever 2 hours. it sucks. Weird because most people with high levels of test experience an enlarged prostate and piss frequently. But yea im the same way

I used to have low test, frequent urination, pain on bladder area. All these symptoms started after I got bilateral varicoceles. I did not know the reason for these since one month back. I went to all the specialists (urologist,endocrinologist,gastro enterologist,GP,orthopedic,neurologist). They could not find anything wrong with their labs aprt from low test and bilateral varicoceles. But my symptoms did not go away. Urologist did the bladder test toc heck how much urine left in the bladder. He said there is very little left. Sometime doctors cannot figure out what is wrong with us. I remember 9 months back I hurt myself on my bladder area (don’t know the reason) and thus causing pain , frequent urination, varicoceles and low testosterone.. Even I took testosterone shots for 2 months, It did not cure my symptoms at all. Now I am pain free, no frequent urination and no symptoms of low testosterone. It looks like IBS, but not. Same as i experienced. Do you have good digestion? Do you have gas problem or passing wind or noises in lower stomach?

How are your testes? Did left one shrink?

well I know I dont have any STD's or kidney Cancer(took a ultrasound of Kidneys and they came back ok), like I said all these problems started after my varicocele

The other problem I have is really really bad stress and anger and alot of crap internalized which I am sure doesnt have a great effect on the body, infact I wouldnt be surprised if that brought on or added alot of my problems

I've had the same problems off and on. I wonder if it could be related to my zinc deficiency (SpectraCell), since zinc is needed by the prostate (to control BPH) and for testosterone as well. At one point my PSA was rising and really freaked me out... it has gone back down thankfully.

I remember your post about that. I am not to worried about it though. I mean should I be. I take zma everyday, multivitamin, coconut oil, fish oil.... I am gonna talk to my endo next time about getting a complete test done for a base. Also gonna do a sleep study and maybe try clomid.

does anyone know if it is impractical to get a catheter for someone who is reasonably healthy, it is starting to get annoying waking up literaly every hour and sometimes more to urinate during the night, I dont think I have gone more then 2 hours without urinating since this injury happened 2 months ago

You need to find a good urologist. You have to have a bladder or prostate problem.

Hey guys just wondering if any of you have had your varicocoele operated on?...I only found out the other day that I have a bilateral one and I also have azoorspermia..im 24 now and when I think about it the volume of my ejaculate has slowly decreased since I was about 17...Just lately my libido has probably more than halved and I think I have had to go to the bathroom more often...Can anyone tell me if bilateral Varicocele can cause low semen volume, lower libido and frequency in visiting the bathroom?...and if you were operated on how have you faired after? did your sperm count raise as well?

Sorry to revive this old post but I literally have the same exact symptoms. Been going on for a while and my doctor gave me Clomid 25mg everyday. I have low TT, bioavailability, low DHT, low E2.
