My Cortisol level is flipped

I have heard of this but have not seen how it can be reversed.

My cortisol levels appear to be reversed...ie low in the morning and high at night.....leading to insomnia, among other things.

The numbers are:

8 AM 14 range 13-24

Noon 13 range 5-10

5 PM 23 range 3-4

Midnight 49 range 1-4

Cortisol Burden 99 range 23-42

These are saliva tests so I do not have complete confidence in them but they do seem to reflect the reality of the situation.

Any advice?

What type of job do you do? GEt your ass out in sun first thing in the morning to turn off the melatonin, and stay off the computer late and night if you are..

Supposedly saliva tests are not that bad,
unless your corticoid binding globulin (CBG) is out of whack.

My last results with a saliva test were physically impossible, that is why I d not completely trust them.

I actually have many of the symptoms of low cortisol.

As for stress, most of it was earlier in my life but I am still under a lot, hard not to in this city.

Did you also get a DHEA level? The balance between the two is important as well, all the advice given has been solid, PS 500mg at night is what a doc would recommend.
