So, the Lipotropic Protein project is changing directions. Due to lousy suppliers with variable taste, we are not going to be able to launch a 100% genus based protein like I wanted to.

The original supplier came in yesterday and said "LG Sciences problem took a team of 15 people to figure out. We identified an error in our processing that won't be fixed until 2010." This new supplier apparently has the same issue.

The issue is that at very high concentrations the protein from yellow peas has inconsistent flavor...

So...we are forced to release Lipotropic BLEND which will be a blend of Genus Protein, Whey Isolate, Whey Concentrate and Micellar Casein. I am working on the flavor right now (I wish you could have tasted the latest Lipotropic Protin flavor, it was amazing).

Good news is that 5lbs should be very close in price to the original Lipotropic.
 
That is truly unfortunate. I remember you saying you wanted the Genus Protein to really set LG apart from other protein brands. And considering the PB you just released is delicious, that is really a letdown, both for me and for you as the manufacturer, I'm sure.

I'm just going to have to go buy up as much of the PB Genus as possible while it's still around. :)
 
probably for the best considering that you can now make a quad protein sourced product heavy with pea protein which i'm sure is still unique. quad sourced protein helps absorption, since amino acid profiles are different.
 
It is unfortunate, lot of time went into this, and it it was taking off!, but im sure with the new protein it'll be a huge sucess also..any time frame Eric?
 
while this is certainly a let down, the new blend will have a more rounded amino acid profile and different digestion rates from the different sources, so youve gotta take the good with the bad.

I see this being just as, if not more popular since many people, myself included, love micellar casein (and whey iso)

I'm with you in this.

It's unfortunate, but it's not an end-all. I really think this will be a top-notch blend. I'm actually a fan of mixes like this. Different digestion rates are a good thing in my opinion. If you happen to take a little longer to get to your next meal from your shake, at least you can say, "Well, I've still got some casein at work in there." :thumbsup:
 
Still looks like a very solid blend-will there still be a PB/banana or other new flavors with the new mix?

all flavors will be represented he said.. btu you really can not put a ETA on something like this, last run he turned it down twice because it was not up to par.. once its perfect it'll be released. LG Im sure will add to this with a rough "time frame"
 
I think this if good news, like others have said, the different absorbtion rates are music to my ears, especially the addition of Micellar Casein, so perhaps now I can use this as a bit of a night timeshake as well.

Flavors should be MUCH easier to flavor as well :)
 
Anything new on the Lipotropic protein LG? I REALLY love the vanilla & would hate to see this just go away. I'm almost out & hafta order more while supplies last...lol. Seriously, I enjoy this better than any protein I've ever tried. Don't give up on it guys.....great product!:clap2:
 
Whey had to reformumate completely and mix in Genus with whey, milk, casein and egg proteins. The problem is the taste of the Genus becomes unstable at high concentrations. It's still better than straight whey isolate, but not what I wanted. Taste is really good though.
 
Well as much as I love the Lipotrpoic protein I know you guys but out the best at what you do. I will be waiting for the new blend.

Agreed, I always liked the taste. Ah well the new formulation should taste damn good now! :)
 
Is any PB still available, or is it long gone? My stash is running low and, if possible, I'd like to pick up more while I still can.
Just for you good buddy, I'll find out first thing in the AM!
