Partial review/First Impressions of Building the Perfect Beast...Naturally

Legend
Not really all that big of a book when looking at it...Roughly 2 and 1/4 pages. No flashy pictures(except for the cover) but then you crack it open and there's a ton of information in those 200+ pages.

I'm not a professional in the field nor a educated one but I can read the book. At first I thought it had just skimmed the net and cut and pasted some information but it is actually far from it. It's laid out well and written in a way that the average joe can understand. I'm only halfway through the book and i'm sure i'll be reading it over several times but so far I definately give the book a thumbs up.

And i'll leave you with a little from it.

Don't just lift the weights...ATTACK THEM! Tear them apart! Treat every rep as if it were your last. Lift like your life is on the line. Look at the weights and listen as they mock you... "C'mon pussy! You can't lift us! Go home and curl up on the couch with your dolls and watch Oprah!" Then, go ahead and retaliate with ferocity that you are saving for your worst enemy! Do whatever it takes to psyche you up. Yell...growl...slap yourself...think of people you hate (or taxes...the post office...) Just get PISSED OFF and focus on the task! Then, channel all of that intense anger and emotion into every rep of every set, every cardio session and every dietary practice. Don't just workout...GO TO WAR!

looks good, ive been wanting to pick this up for awhile now. let us know your final thoughts as well. ALR is a genius

Great to hear Jay :) The book is written as if the author is having a conversation with YOU. There is so much info that you do have to read it over and over because you cannot possibly remember it all , lol, well UNLESS you are ALR !!!

Thanks for the snuggle avy, I know that is just for me :)

I'm going to buy this book, as it looks like there is alot of info. I'm an "angry lifter", so i liked that quote.

Yeah that quote pretty much sums up my everyday workouts. Just seems like they put my philosophy into words.

Great to hear Jay. I'm finding it similar to your opinion. When I got the book I was praying that it would be put into simplified terms as I'm no biologist or pysicist myself. One of the initial conversations that ALR and I had one night after the O, we were talking and I had to tell him, "man this stuff is going right over my head". He was nice enough to give me some laymens terms and analogies so I could understand wtf he was saying :D

Alri is hillarious when you talk to him, I say hillarious because he talks to you in a personable manner but he uses words that you only see the definition in the dictionary or in studies, as you never hear them in a sentence. He is so laid back, and smart but he does not make you fell dumb.

Some people can not dumb down to common folk language but ALri has no problem doing it. I have yet to read the book, but my CME and BTPB are ruffled to the max...
