| Registered User | Problem at injection site I have a problem at one of the sites I injected peg mfg about 4-5 days ago. I injected 100mcg into each of 2 spots on both biceps, a total of 400mcg. I think that I might be sensitive to mfg. Anyway I had sensitivity at each of the 4 injection sites and there was some localized redness. I chalked this up to my body being new to regular injections as well as them being bicep injections which I assume are a more sensitive area than delts, for example. Anyway, over the few days following the injections the pain lessened as well as the redness, and the redness was not anything like the redness that concerned me in the post I made about thinking I had a possible infection in my forearm a week or 2 ago. Anyway, the 2 spots I pinned on my R bicep can't even be found now, on the L one site I can still see a little red dot (not the problem) and then at the other site this morning I noticed there was a hardness right at that site under the skin. It feels like there is a small rock under there. Also off to the side of that spot there looks like there is a pool of fluid that has formed below the skin, about 2 inches in diameter, not really noticible if your not looking for it. So I did a little googling about abscesses and think that it might be a sterile abscess as it is a small hard lump right at the injection site (from 4-5 days ago). I put a hot cloth compress on it for a while today. I'm not sure about the part that looks like a pool of fluid under the skin next to it though. Right now my course of action is: Continue to monitor Continue to use the hot water compresses I"m debating if I should get and take some fish amox or not. I'm going to order some tonight anyway. I used sterile injecting techniques so it has to be my sensitivity to the peg mgf or the other possibilities are: I reconstituted with a fluid that came with the mgf, it came in a plastic pouch. I did forget to sterilize the outside of the pouch when withdrawing the fluid to reconstitute with and have injected about 12 times with it, this being the first hard nodule situation. Or it could be something else alltogether. I am inexperienced with injecting so don't have experience to draw from. Advice and feedback appreciated. |

| Gold Member | I had an oil-based one in my delt for almost a week. Give it a few more days, it will dissipate. Skip that site during your next rotation. "You've got bad eating habits if you use a grocery cart in 7-Eleven." |
