Well, this is my 1st log and it's on IGF-1lr3. I will probably make this a "mini log" meaning I won't be yappin' in here every day (but who knows!).

I typically cannot stand logs because they're so friggin' hard to extract value from due to the extraneous conversations and whatnot so I'm going to do something about that.

PLEASE, conversation is encouraged in my log. But, as a convenience for readers interested strictly in "results", I will keep this page updated with current "gains", "loses", "sides", "etc".

Papapumpsd's stats as of 05/30/2008: 5'8", 179lbs, BF (see photos). My weight seems off by 6 lbs or so, but I don't weigh myself hardly ever. I have been low, low carbing it and my workouts the past 2-3 months have been VERY different from what I typically do. They have been higher rep, lower weight and far fewer sets. I am now lifting with fewer reps (4-6 reps for working sets) and will kick it up a notch. I wanted to let a slightly aggitated elbow get better.

Protocol: SEE ATTACHMENT (it's an Excel file zipped up)
40mcg bilaterally PWO IM EOD (Post Work Out, Intra Muscularly, Every Other Day). 4 weeks. Yes, I'm working out every other day.

Yes, I swabbed the living piss out of both sites....but I'm a worry wart like that.

My workout was pretty lame. I have been low carbing it and my eating for today blew hard. I had so many meetings at work that I missed a lot of food. I did though have my mass shake (Cytosport Cytogainer) post injection! I also made a ton of whole grain brown rice and turkey patties on the grill. :woohoo:

thanks dooder well, at my biggest, I was ~210...that was Superdrol (never again tho). I wasn't too pretty to look at, but strong. Easily rep out 8 at 315. And like I said, my diet and training have been VASTLY different from what I usually do. So I'm down weight from what I'm usually at. My goal is to be 200, 6-7% in a year or so. I hope that's not TOO lofty. No AAS either ($hit, I can barely take a slinpin! LOL)

:D

Nope, I didn't feel anything....I have Terumo 28ga. 1/2", 1/2cc slinpins. Like BUTTA brutha!

Day 2 (see 1st post for complete progress):

Well, it's an OFF day and I'm sore as hell in the chest (as usual). I freaking hope I can heal up for tomorro's workout. I will lift no matter what though (sore or not). I have my cals up, carbs up, fats slightly up, protein up.

I am going to do 45min to 1 hr of walking soon. I can't stand sitting around this boring ass place. I basically live in this new neighborhood that's jam packed with toddlers and kids and young families. PUKE! Do cardio around here and you'll see 20 strollers and 5 corn fields.

I'm bringing a little bottle of juice with me in the even I get hypo (I have in the past a few times). :D

Im in!!! Yea 179...what are you 5'3" lol......you look alot bigger than 179
Welcome dood! I know, I thought I was MUCH heavier than 179!!! I'm 5'8". I used to be 210lbs a couple yrs ago...then again, I wasn't in "beach" shape :D

I do think I was carb depleted since my diet was <50g carbs for the most part. We'll see how I fill out on all these carbs and extra cals (3,000cals/day). :woohoo: I will also start lifting a LOT more (as stated above, for the past few months I have been doing very light workouts to recover from some elbow discomfort and to experiement with how I might relieve or at least mediate this soreness as it impacts my general well-being).

:p

Oh, BTW people, I started writing the "IGF-1lr3 Beginner's Guide". It will detail how to get started with this peptide, from IGF-1 basics, to reconstitution, making 0.6%AA, injections, sterile procedure, etc., etc. :D

Day 3: 06/01/2008 Back/Traps/Delts

Just some chattin' about how I feel so far: I feel good....but am sore as hell yet from my chest/ab workout. My pecs & delt/pec tie-in & front delts are VERY sore.

I will probably work lateral delts and not front (fronts are still sore from working chest).

How do I feel so far? Just dandy. It may be placebo, but I look more filled out (I have been way up on quality carbs and cals). I can't attribute this strictly to IGF-1. In certainly may be due to glycogen levels/stores being replentished (since I've been low-carbing it lately).

I will get my weight at the gym today. I'm quite certain I will be past 180 (DAMN, I better be! Haven't been <180 in eons!) HE HE :D

Ok, off to hit the gym. I have dosing 40mcg in lats today. :head:

looks good homey thick veins in the arms
Welcome big guy! My veins are still pretty hidden since I'm kind of a fatty right now. But believe me, after I drop a few more pounds, they will be a medussa's head. ha ha ha.

Headed to the gym..I'm interested to see my weight!:woohoo:

UPDATE: Went to the gym....good workout. Veins are more pronounced for sure. I had very good stamina.
Weight today was 181.5lbs. That's +2.5lbs so far from Day 1 (today's Day 3).

Just had my PWO shake (cytogainer full serving: ~580cals, 75g carbs, 5g fat, 54g protein). MMMMMMM
I can't get over how sick these Terumo slinpins are! Literally PAINLESS! he heeeee *giggle*

Off to do some walking as it's decent outside and I'm hella bored and want to enjoy the sun a little bit. I will not be power-walking....normal walking around.

I have a date tonight with this cutie I met out last night. Wish me luck boyz:thumbsup::lol:

Day 4: OFF
Cardio: Walking for ~45-60 min. in the evening

Well, today I am sore from yesterday's back/trap/delt workout. This is expected. But, my brachialis and brachioradialis are also sore. My chest and delt/pec tie-in are still very sore as well. I knew this $hit would happen. I'll be sore for the entire 4 weeks I'm sure. Meaning, something will be sore on me each and everyday (if not multiple muscles).

I am looking fuller for sure. I have been pounding carbs (whole grain, clean carbs, usually low GI) so I'm sure that's helped to fill me out somewhat too. I am not gaining fat either. Ye-haw! :head:

BTW, my date went well last night, except she's a major fuqqing airhead/ditz. I brought this little 100lb doll to a Hybachi grill. I hammered rice, grilled chicken and shrimp, and veggies. :D Then we watched some bull$hit movie at the theater ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)". This is exactly why I cannot stand watching movies.....then again it gave me time to explore her legs so I can't complain too much.

2nd date..yep, this Sunday. ;D Not sure what we're going to do...maybe chill at her place and cook or get take-out. I'm curious to know what's under her hood. :whip: But JFC if she acts, looks, and sounds any younger, I'd be labeled a pedofile. *giggle*

I wouldn't say IGF-1 gives me DOMS..I've always suffered from massive DOMS. Actually just prior to starting IGF-1, I had to take a week off from working out cause my abs were sore for a whole week. Ya, it's frickin' annoying and debilitating. I was on the couch laying there and like the 2nd or 3rd day after my chest/abs workout, I had to fall off the couch to the floor and struggle to get up...my abs were so sore I could barely use them to move. Talk about feeling and LOOKING like a total dikhead.

Anyways, my Dr. hasn't been any help in diagnosing this anomoly. Just some dufus telling me to take an amino acid (yay Einstein). :frustrate

EDIT: I will be taking updated photos hopefully tonight.

Day 5

Well, I weighed in at 185lbs at the gym today. I'm up 6lbs....of what, I don't know. I just give the raw numbers and photos here. You can deduce yourselves.

So far everything's kosher and I'm happy.

EDIT: I've uploaded 2 new photos (with dates). I look basically no different. I wouldn't expect 5days and 5lbs to morph me into a monster. ;D

Thanks Frank! Welcome to the log :D

Has anyone experienced stomach "weirdness" w/IGF-1? I have cramps (minor), growling-like feelings when I don't feel hungry, and some mild achiness in the gut region.

That's just your intestines growing. Don't worry about it...

LOL asses! "that's just your intestines growing". :rasp:

It's all good...I can have the excess intestine removed and sell it on the black market....hey, some people have a lot of theirs removed for medical reasons.

Who's laughing now?!!!

lol, nice Bob! :D I really hope I start dropping some fat here as I'll be in Colorado Springs for July 4th and I want to look good w/the top down

Day 7:

Good bicep/tricep workout. Good pump after I did some 12rep sets near the end. I was expecting more vasculation, but I was swole and the veins were poppin'. Not *****in', just sayin' ;D

My water intake for the day was way down due to traveling and an off-site conference. I also had quite a bit of caffeine from coffee/soda too so that didn't help. I had a gatorade-type drink during my workout. At the beginning I was 184lbs. "dehydrated", and 187 PWO "hydrated". So, I averaged it to 185.5lbs.

My food intake was down too due to the trip. Ugh. I did have my PWO shake though. I will be pounding food tonight for sure!

Day 8:
I have today OFF. I will be doing cardio in the evening. My typical power-walking for 45-60min. I don't run as it's too much...I just like something that keeps my heart rate up for an extended period of time.

My triceps and biceps are sore today. Arms feel good....I'm feeling more filled out. :D

I quesiton my food intake for this evening as I am headed out for a bro's bday and we'll be at the clubs/bars. I will bring a protein bar and we'll prob. stop to get food at some point. If I drink, it will be extremely minimal (doubt I'll drink tho). I'm more interested in seeing if any nice ladies would like to chat and exchange hugs. tee hee!

Day 9:

I was supposed to do chest/abs today, but I'm still too sore in my bi's/tri's/brachioradialis. I'm taking an extra day off to recover. I will make today a cardio day :D

Day 11:

So, I missed the gym yesterday. I thought it was open til at least 8pm, but it closes at 5pm. WTF! AHHHH. Anyways, it's ok as I was still sore.

Today was Chest/Abs. Decent workout. I weighed in at 188lbs, so I'm up 9lbs since the start. I don't appear to be any leaner (ugh). I am upping the cardio.

Diet: I'm eating very clean. The ONLY crap food I had was some pizza on Sun. night and I think that was A-OKAY since I was a little low on cals that day.

Thanks dewd...I know....I'm not expecting a shredded physique in 11 days' time. :D I was just HOPING to be a bit leaner. No worries. IGF-1 is for long term results....not a few weeks.

All in due time! :burg:

I'm with ya there brutha! I have been looking into frag 176.....buah-hahahaha!

Word of warning on 176. Yes it works very well (for me), however, it is so delicate, you almost NEVER get any that is undamaged. The few times I've gotten it, it was denaturated due to extreme conditions or handling. Most turned cloudy immediately upon recon which is indicative of the peptide chemical properties changing, no longer being soluable as an undamaged frag chain should be...
My last purchase was from IR. Turned cloudy in BW and was useless at even at 1500mcg/day... I bought so much (20+ g)I was hoping there might be a small vialble % in there somewhere thus the exterme dosing.
When the frag is good, it is clear in solution and works well at 500mcg/day for me.

Anyways, Good Luck on the rest of your log, Bro! :)

Hmm...very good info Bob! Thank you dood. I will definitely keep that in mind.

Now, if I only had a PhD in Pharmacology, I could cleave the 176 from the parent peptide and have fresh in-house frag! :D HE HEEEE

LOL Papa! If you had that much parent peptide (HGH) in hand, I think the last thing on your mind would be cleaving frags! :D

Heya Rip! :)

I know I'm not Papa, but yes, last muscle trained is what you want. This is because receptor saturation density is greatly increased in PWO muscles trained and does fall rather quickly.
Definitely the 1st muscles trained prior to the last muscle trained will no longer exhibit such a high saturation level.

Chime in anytime Bobas! Good input above.

Rip, my protocol is attached as a PDF in the 1st post (FYI). So, for example, if your subject works biceps and traps, immediately PWO you would administer IGF-1 into either biceps or traps (prob. best to choose the lagging muscle).

There really isn't a "BEST WAY" so-to-speak.....it's a lot of trial and error and figuring out "best practices" through scientific studies and what others report on here. I'm referring to IGF-1 in general.

But Bobas is accurate in shooting PWO in the muscles trained.

Rip, in my attached file (1st post, at the bottom), the muscles in RED are the treated muscles. That is how I chose to administer IGF-1.

you dont need to alter the workout, just immediately after finishing chest go to gym toilet and hit them with igf, then return to gym for triceps. that how ive always done it.

@ papa, looking good there, any change in bodywieght since last check?
keep going, a freak in the making imo. ;)

Hey Pumbert! I haven't gone to the gym today yet. I will this evening. When I do, I'll get my weight. I seem to have lost a bit of fat (this is the mirror talking) so I'll see if the scale shows a change in weight.

note: my water consumption is slightly elevated from historical intake. I am guzzling >1ga. ED (~1.2-1.5ga ed.)

Does anyone have input regarding post-IGF1 diet and expected physiological changes?

1) Is it recommended that I keep the macronutrient ratios the same and cals ~3,000?

2) Since there will ideally be new muscle cells produced, they will ultimately mature. Among a myriad of changes, maturation involves hypertrophy. I'm assuming my bodyweight will continue to increase as the cells mature. Correct? If correct, what might be expected of my weight? What timeframe are we talking about here (3 months, 6 months, 18months, etc)? Assume no other cycles are to be run (this is not true, but for clarity and simplicity sake, make this assumption).
