Soloxine - Safe Source of T4?

Soloxine is a pet T4 medication. The package insert says:

"Each SOLOXINE (Levothyroxine Sodium, USP) Tablet provides synthetic crystalline levothyroxine sodium (L-thyroxine)."

Sounds like the real deal to me. If so it would be a lot cheaper than the T4 available for "research purposes".

Anyone have some insight on this medication and it's potential for use on "research subjects"?

except that you need a prescription to buy it, just like thyroxine for humans...if you're gonna break the law, might as well get human stuff for the same price. research chems are at least sort of legal....although i have yet to find a T3 liquid research product that actually works like the tabs...
