IGF Long R3 for growth

hi,
I was wondering if your growth plates are not close yet could igf aid in height gain (I read a post that said it is possible) Also after search through most of 20 pages in this section i did not find any talk about a specific age you have to be to cycle igf.(i assume it is 21 and over because all of those kids that got driven away from superdrol would be on here, not that superdrol and Igf are related) Anyway just incase a normal person under the age of 21 can take it i thought i would ask if it would do me any good ?(19yrs old). Or would it cause more harm than good to my reletivley young body. I am not sure if i am done growing yet, i havent grown since my sophomore year so maybe i am done growing but am not sure since i am still shorter than both my parents.
Thanks for your time, sorry if this is any inconvenience to you

Your natural IGF levels are already high. No sense in taking it at your age. Theres a chance that it might not harm you, but theres an even better chance that it wont do jack for you.

i have never read anything about igf-1 causing an increase in height. Human growth hormone does that, but i am not familiar with the mechanism by which it does this. i was under the impression it acted directly on the growth plates...

If igf-1 itself is able to attatch to growth plates then you will certainly grow. anything igf-1 can attatch to, grows. Its really a useless investment if your growth plates are already closed.

1. Fake a hand injury, make it convincing
2. get an x ray
3. nonchalantly ask the doctor if you are done growing (if you see very light highlights in the x-rays, your growth plates are still open. if it is uniformaly a gray color...they are closed. the best bet is to have you doctor answer the question.

Of course this is all irrelevant if igf-1 isnt what actually causes the growth. HGH's effects are largely mediated by its stimulatory effect on igf-1 levels, but HGH does have direct effects, skeletal growth and development may be one of them.

someone else will have to answer this, perhaps grunt or dr. D

thanks for the replies, i was actually going to set up an appointment with my doc to see if he could tell if i could grow more(not so i could use igf just for my own interest). May i ask why i have to fake an injury? wont my doc tell me if i ask him? Anyway shoulds like igf is not for me but thanks for the help anyway.

Some doctors won't x-ray your hand to check your growth plates unless there is an injury. I wouldn't fake it right off the bat, especially if you have a good relationship with the doctor.
