I just read the thread that is now locked. PLEASE REASERCH SLIN BEFORE EVER CONSIDERING TAKING IT. IT CAN KILL YOU. I can't beleive this guy is alive. 12 freiking ml of N. I can't imagine. I'm just blown away that somone would take slin without reasearching first. First of all you don't measure in MLs you measure in IU and veryy little at that. Second you don't use humalin N. I still can't belive this guy. Come on. Be smart. Research anything you put into your body and understand it well before considering. :jaw:
 
It seems that way RedWolf...I mean "please". After pulling the plunger back (and obviously it was not a slin pin either), do you think "hmm that's a crapload of insulin?" I am having trouble buying this one. I have made mistakes of injecting 5cc's of Deca (I was on the phone with a buddy who I had not spoke to while filling the pin and did not realize what or how much I had done). Not for sure what I was doing...just know my D... took a break from any activity for a few weeks...till I got some test...anyways, the point being...we have all made some mistake...but damn man. Playing around with insulin and DYING from it is what makes the rest of us look like fools for your lack of studying. I am sure he has been hating life for the past week (hypo) is such a futher mucker. If this post is true, and this was due to lack of knowledge of the subject...I rank it up there with the supposed guy who was "pinning" his "O" ring cause someone told him to...

I think he measured 12 tics up on a 1cc slin pin. If i recall correctly 1cc pins only have 50 tics, so that would have given him 24 iu's. If he's a little guy (under 180 lbs), would this dosage cause the side-effects he is describing?
 
Which means he only injected 1 cc X 12?

I'm not sure how needles work but.............


If you order a 29gauge X 1" 1cc Slin Pin does it not give you 1cc or 1 ml of (product) with each injection? or is it in increments of 1cc and can actually hold up to 5-10ccs? or 5-10 ml?

I'm tryin to learn this.
 
1cc/ml = 100iu's. most, if not all, 100iu slin pins have 50 tick marks which represent 2iu's each. 1/2cc's and 3/10's are 1 tick = 1 iu. insulin is premeasured and ready to go as per the slin pin says it is. it's the original purpose for slin pins (hence the name) and it only becomes confusing when someone is mixing up IGF or GH because then it depends on how much they are mixing it with.

Agreed, there is no way they could counter that much insulin. That would have been a lethal dose period. Glucagon would be ineffective at that level as well and even an intravenous dextrose solution would be unlikely to maintain euglycaemia. And they would have had to be able to get him to the hospital alive first.

I agree, although I believe the Humulin N is the slower-acting kind.

Still, 1200 IU IMO kills you outright. I mean, the rule is 10g of carbs per IU. Which means he needed 12 kilos of pure sugar for that amount of slin. How long would it take *YOU* to down 25 pounds of sugar? :blink:

Longer than hypoglycemic coma to set in, I'm betting. :icon_lol:
 
I can attest to that it would kill you. Remember not to long ago I had taken 60 IU. So 1200 IU would cripple you. Your heart would explode.
