Hypoglycemia concerns w/ IGF-1

I would really like to start using IGF-1 as part of my PCT regimine but am concerned about the hypoglycemic side-effects that are a possibility with its use.

I've searched a lot for answers to this but most/all the info I found was either inconclusive and/or not helpful.

I just want to know if anyone has experienced debilitating hypoglycemia (i.e. to the point where you are getting cold sweats, shakes, and have to stop and eat something or you'll pass out) while using IFG-1. FYI, I plan on using MR for my source if I decide to do it.

The reason I am very much concerned with this is because I suffer from hypoglycemia, and certain anabolics make it worse--dbol and anadrol really f'ck me up, for example.

If anyone can help me out I'd sincerely appreciate it.

I'll be finding that out in about a month if all goes well.

I suppose the only tried and true method is to seriously bump up your high GI foods when administering. I'm not too stoked about that remedy though.

I have a strong tendency to rebound hypoglycemia, that is, any time I ingest too much high-gi food, and in my case too much doesn't mean very much, I go into hypoglycemia and bad too, sometimes I get to the cold sweat and shakes...

When I did IGF-1 I injected 40mcg intra-muscularly IMMEDIATELY postworkout, then gulped down my PWO shake of whey, fructose, water, and about 2-3 tablespoons of organic raw cane sugar.

I felt just fine, except my postworkout laziness was a little more than usual. The stuff tends to induce some lethargy, so that part is expected. Overall I find that the concern for hypoglycemia is way overrated. Just have some carbs and you'll be just FINE. Actually if you have a little EXTRA high-GI carbs, you'll also produce some insulin, which is known for compounding the anabolic effects of the IGF-1, which IMO is great PCT.

Just have some quick carbs and you'll be just fine.

That's exactly what I'm going to be doing for PCT in September bro..

YOu say it was excellent PCT.. did you hold onto a lot of your gains and recompostion a bit more LBM like it's touted to do?

Actually, I didn't use it for PCT, but as a stand-alone, splitting a mg with a friend, also trying it solo, just for experimentation purposes. The stuff is fairly expensive, so it really is worth knowing how well it works on its own, right?

So I only injected my lagging bodyparts : chest, biceps and front delt. My thighs, triceps and back are way ahead of the rest or me. The result is that I could tell overnight increased muscle size, and noticeable growth for 2-3 days after that. I added ½" on my arm (no injection in the triceps) and brought my front delt up to speed with the rest. My chest is much better. So it really does induce local muscle growth. I've kept 100% of those gains. I also gained a little bit of strength, but surprisingly it seems that those muscles now progress FASTER than the rest of me. I know, I know, it almost seems too much. But I did do the experiment while taking nothing else than vitamins, antioxydants and protein, long after any previously taken suppelemnt had time to leave my system. I'm about to do my first cycle since then and that was in April. This time around it's an androgenic cycle. Then cycle after that, it'll be "just" 2mg IGF-1 in 40 days or so.

In other words, I'm in love with the stuff even though it is more expensive than most androgens.

Cool. Thanks for the responses. Sounds like it is okay to try as long as I inject it in a controlled setting (I work construction and there are periods where I really can't eat for a few hours at a time) so my blood sugar doesn't go wacko.

I still am a little wary due to the fact that even some steroids noticabley worsen my hypoglycemia, and IGF-1 was/is reported to be bad for this.

I will do more research^^this helps but 200 bucks is a lot of money to spend if I find out I can't use it.

Maybe you can find a friend or 2, split the first ampule among yourselves, see if you like it. That's what I did.
