| Registered User | IGF-1 Sub-Q Second day injecting IGF-1 in the stomach. First, the stuff burns a bit, I guess this is from the BA. Second, nice big lumps under the skin. Is this normal? is it better to go IM in the delts? Also, if I go IM do I need to aspirate? Thanks ![]() |

| Banned | You always need to aspirate with IM injections. ALWAYS |

| Fictional character | It's very common for you to get lumps from sub-q injects of IGF. Do it IM, and make sure to use BAW with it. |

| At Joe's Fruit Stand Board Administrator | If your getting lumps your most likely injecting into some adipose tissue. If you pinch the skin enough on the side (by your oblique) and inject directly into the skinfold, you won't get lumps. But either way is fine. Giddyup! |

| Registered User | If you dont aspirate you are asking for trouble man nurses aspirate and all the textbooks ive read say to aspirate in IM injects so I see no reason not to aspirate. Its two secionds that can make your day a whole lot more enjoyable. |

| Registered User | How long do these lumps last? How much bacteriostatic water are you using with it? Did you dilute the IGF with more BA or leave it at 1ml? Gorge...if your doctor told you that you didn't have to aspirate with an IM injection, then you need to get a new doctor. This is coming from some one that has been in the medical field for over 8 years. |

![]() My doctor gave me injectable BComplex which can be taken Intravenous or IM, he told me for this you do not need to aspirate. For anything else I aspirate when doing IM, just was not sure about IGF. Thanks to everyone who helped me.... Day three of IGF and I am down 1% BF ![]() | |

| Fictional character | They aspirate when they do mine. It could just be that they think they can get away with it because you don't look like you know any better! Just kidding, man. HAHAHAHAHA. |

| Registered User | You don't have to aspirate with B Complex injections because it's an aqueous injection (a solution) that can actually be given IV (though ususally diluted). You damn well better aspirate any oil-based or water-based suspensions (i.e. Winny) |

| Moderator Board Moderator | Doctors and nurses DO ASPIRATE for IM injections. Aspiration takes only a split second(so fast you may not even realize it), and one knows instantly if you are in a vein. I know this from experience. size is a fictitious character. Respect yourself and others will respect you. |

| The True Warrior is one who conquers oneself | I dunno size, i should probably get a different doc. I have had nurses give me a shot, one handed...for instance this past winter when I got my flu shot..they just stuck it in my shoulder and pushed...I have aspirated on myself before, and I know this lady did not do it at all...unless she can do it one handed and in the blink of an eye...i dunno.. |

| Fictional character | Let's get to the root of the problem: Why not just aspirate any damned way, since it causes NO damage? All strongly answers welcome. |

| Registered User | My mom's a nurse and shoots me one handed with flu shots. I asked her why she doesn't aspirate. She said I do aspirate, silly. She sticks the pin in and with her thumbnail pulls back slightly on the plunger. If you hit a vein it will fill very quickly with blood and very easily draws back. If there's a lot of resistance she knows she's not in a vein and then pushes in with her thumb. |
