Odd question, Warming up bacteriostatic water = any chemistry changes?

Whacked

Got some Peptides for research in the mail (Melatonan-II) I stuck them in the freezer (along with the bac water - wasn't thinking).

Just took them all out for reconstitution and just realized I had put the bac water in the freezer by accident along with them.

So, I ran the bac water under warm water to thaw as it was totally frozen then is dawned on me, perhaps I shouldn't have done this as it may affect the chemistry and I may get injection-site infections as a result?

So, did I "ruin" the bac water???

any chemistry guys?

You should be ok. BW is just H2O + benzyl alcohol.

I'd be more worried about the container's integrity than the chemistry. Water expands as it freezes and it may have cracked the plastic (or glass). Just thaw it and look for any leak(s).

If it worries you, just get new BW. It's extremely inexpensive and readily available.

thanks man
