Just got mine in. I'm at work so I'm a bit hesitant to try it until I get home.

This is not a "bonding" environment so I don't think I'd be able to tell a whole lot anyway.

Please report back Ive ordered mine on friday as well and im going to try this as soon as I get it

Very interesting product - let us know how it goes.

Of course the wife was too "busy" to try it last night. The kids are going to Granny's today so we should have some alone time (wish I had the PT-141) :).

I did one and then two sprays per nostril yesterday at work and couldn't really tell anything. Might do some more here in a bit.

Been doing 3-4 sprays a couple times a day with VERY little effect. You get relaxed and calm about five minutes after the spraying, and if you do it right before bed, you will sleep well, but it is NOT as powerful as melatonin or even Advil for me. And absolutely no psychological effects on me whatsoever. Somewhat disappointing, although I'm continuing to try it to see if the effect builds with useage over time.

what is in oxymist?
OxyCalm is a similar product although it is not a nasal spray. The web site contains lots of information and links related to Oxytocin (the ingredient).

OxyCalm is a nasal spray.

Maybe so but:
The word "nasal" doesn't appear anywhere on the website.

Interpret this for me:

"OxyCalm™ contains a pleasant Vanilla fragrance enhanced with a very dilute solution of Oxytocin to be atomized into the air for its calming effects on those who breathe minute amounts of it."

Not sure what site you're looking at, but the one I 'm looking at (a retailer) has a photo of the dispenser (nasal), also intructions for nasal usage.

Also has several ref's to nasal administration.

Just got home from a 5 day vacation and found my oxymist in the mailbox. Tried 3 sprays and took my son to soccer practice. My son's momma (my ex) was there. As my son practiced soccer my ex and I planned our summer possession times. First time in 2 years I've spoke to her without a feeling of, uh, uhm, well I guess "Hatred" would be the best way to discribe the feeling I usually have. No real "bond" feeling, just the lack of the usual negative feeling I have toward her. Scary stuff, gotta watch when I take this stuff...

3 sprays total or each side? BTW, Oxytocin was mentioned in an article (I think it was Time magazine) as being strongly looked at for the next wave of anti-depressants (ideally all the good, none of the sides of current options). I'm guessing at much higher doses than the nasal spray.

Got my OxyMist in yesterday and started right away. Been using 3 sprays per nostril 3 times a day (as well as my wife). Today is the second day and have administered 3 times so far today. My wife has started looking at me and rolling her eyes so I don't see her taking it after today if we continue to notice no results.

We are heading out for St Patty's day drinking tonight so I'll take the bottle with me and try some with some drinks and see if it has a synergenic effect at all. At this point I know it will be difficult to keep my wife taking it if she doesn't start seeing immediate/strong results.

I'm betting on PT-141 when it comes in.:woohoo:

Well rexready told me it wasn't a nasal spray. So it's his fault. :)

I'm thinking a lot of people don't do much research before the begin their experiments. Seems people are looking for results that that should normally not be expected. I would suggest that more researchers do more research before beginnning their experiments.

On a recent issue of National Geographics Oxytocin was mentioned extensively in one of the articles "Love".

After reading about it my wife and I both looked at each other and said "This stuff may be able to save ALOT of marriages"!!!

This stuff Oxytocin is released in when you give your significant other a back rub, when you touch your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend (for you alternative lifestyle guys ;) ).

Oxytocin was the reason researchers believe that wolves mate for life with just one partner!! So, there is alot to this stuff!!

I had seen Oxytocin somewhere and then remembered I had seen IBE advertising it!! Now I gotta try this stuff!!

does kinda sound like their wishing it were a certain club drug. Of course that sounds like fun, but this obviously isn't it.

I tried it - 4 sprays total (2 each nostril), three times a day.

I noticed after one day (four applications) that my thoughts were more family-oriented than usual. Not like Disneyland, G-rated, but about consideration and warm thoughts. I've been married 15 years and the wife is one walking woman's problem.

Ergo, this stuff is dangerous! Unreciprocated bonding opens one to exploitation and can change the dynamics of a marriage. Perhaps I can get her to try it too?

BTW, dosing right before bedtime often causes vivid dreaming.

I tried mine for the first time today. I did two sprays in each nostril and definitely felt a change. Then again I have a constant anxiety problem so it may have helped me out more than someone who's less prone to anxiety. It also helped me kick the withdrawal from a certain pharmaceutical I won't mention and that I definitely didn't expect.

Please keep us posted. I also suffer with anxiety pretty bad. P-doc gave me a script for klonipin just this morning.

The first time must have been unique or something, I haven't felt it the same with subsequent use. I'm going to try 4 sprays per nostril and see what that does. Anyone know how high the dose can go before reaching a harmful level? BTW, be careful with those Klonopins, they DO work and can become very mentally and physically addictive as with any benzodiazepine. Keep your dose minimal for the required effect and don't take it if you don't need to, it will only worsen your tolerance and chemical dependence on the drug.

SD1959 I used to take Klonopin for Anxiety a few years ago was good stuff helped alot but i winged myself off of it after a few months somehow. But I did order some oxymist the other day wait for it to come in i read somewhere it makes shy people more open does anyone know this to be true? I am quite shy and I will let you know when I try this.

Does anyone know a good injectible dose of oxytocin (no not oxymist haha), I'm talking about sterile injectible oxytocin. I have some and have played around with it before with great results (injected) but I don't want to be accidentally taking too much.

the following has no real factual base but more just some thoughts off the top of my head...

ive seen the oxytocin peptide offered to purchase and i suppose an inject wouldnt be hard to make but i would be very careful and wouldnt mess with it at lightly..if at all.seems like a very very potent substance.and who knows what kind of damage or system problems u could cause.i for one wouldnt want some sort of burnout or backlash on my oxy system!!!

i am going to grab a few bottles of this stuff from ibe as ive been eyeing it up for a while.gonna give it a whirl and see how it treats me

darius:
I too have purchased sterile oxy. I am planning a mist at the head of the bed to compensate for it's short lived effect. The sterile is about 1000 times more potent than the oxymist so I'm hoping not to overdose. On the other hand I have read that large doses are regularly given. I remember that some small group of people must be excluded.

I found a site which references dosage. I do not understand what this site is talking about. Can someone else help?

All peptides must be kept in the frig.

i imagine/hope it is stable at room temp for at least a little while as i got my pack the other day and it had a very warm 'cold' pack in it.how long is it stable outside of the fridge?

that aside,i LIKE IT!!!definate tangible non placebo induced effects.1 spray in each nostril took me from being my normal hornball self to still being just as horny(moreso actually)but there was a marked increase in me wanting to be intimate and inside my partner above and beyond just wanting to **** to get off.
i did 1 spray each side at night and then same about an hour later.was nice...pretty mild but definately felt it.last night i went 2 sprays each side 3 times over the course of the night.THAT had a much more pronounced effect.
as mentioned i think its best for ppl to really do their research and know what its truly supposed to do vs just assume and hope it reacts like some drug like x or whatever.i almost hesitate to say this but i have to include it in a full honest report.last night i DID feel...something reminiscent of x as far as the lovey dovey sort of feelings and wanting to be intimate and sexual.of course there was no negative feedback or draining feeling or c ome down today.i cannot express how mild of an effect this was.i think weak would be better than mild.as far as x effects go.
i wonder if this has any sort of mechanism on affecting serotonin???
oxytocin definately has my interest and i will continue to research.
i found the nasal administrators to be pretty effective.seemed to be just right to minimize any leakage or other problems.seemed to just absorb up there just fine.
i will be experimenting with this with both myself as well as my partner this time sometime this week and will report back.
maybe itll help get me in the backdoor again ;)

*to clarify-i do NOT condone x use and i hesitate to even bring it up on a health/bb board.i hope its ok to mention for reference as its honest.i believe it has a legit psychological purpose if used in the hands of a professional for various reasons.but recreationally speaking no.i learned that the hard way in my younger years.which is how/why i have a baseline of experience to compare to.

ps-i was reading an exerpt online about oxytocins anti anxiety effects as well.and i have to agree with it.last night especially with the higher dosage.i felt that for sure.was nice
made for a nice blend as well with the theanine i took before bed along with my usual weekend herbal indulgence.
was a nice mix and when i finally went to bed i drifted off to a very pleasant resting sleep.
this could have applications for replacing anti anxiety meds like xanax, valium, ativan, etc (benzos)which imo are the devil
also reading, and agreeing, that it may have some real incredible anti depressant effects perhaps to replace all this horrible ssri and other anti-d drugs which again imo are the devil.
the O system is VERY fascinating to me!im lookin forward towards how research comes along.i do not want to get ahead of myself and would like to see research and studies done on long term use,any addictive potential, any rebound effects or negative feedback loop from using a spray like this,etc....
gotta look at all angles.
