DTH, cardio, and upset stomach

Alright, here's my situation. I like DTH alot. It's a great mood and energy enhancer. I've also been doing a good bit of cardio lately. When I do cardio, I prefer not to eat too soon beforehand. I've been ignoring the directions on the bottle and taking dth on an empty stomach. The bottle suggests either 30 minutes after food or 15-20 minutes before, right? I think I found out why the directions are what they are.

Lately, I have had to cut a couple cardio sessions short to run to the bathroom. This is frustrating because the intensity and conditioning have been great. But when u gotta go, U GOTTA GO! I've been dosing DTH on an empty stomach about 20 minutes before cardio. I usually work until some time in the afternoon and am eager to get my workout in before dinner. If I start dosing my DTH at lunch, will I still get the extra endurance if I don't do cardio until about 3:00 or 3:30? I'm just trying to decide the best time to dose to avoid GI distress and still enjoy the benefits of DTH? Any suggestions?

Get some fish oil and take a few caps with the dth. This will give your stomach a little coating to help battle acid, and GI upset. The fat in fish oil will not effect fasted cardio to any given extent. Taking just about ANYTHING on a empty stomach will cause issuse imo.

Yeah man. I don't know why i was ignoring the directions. I guess I just wanted to make sure I absorbed all the great ingredients in DTH. I failed to consider the effect of the enteric coating. Today I took it with a granola bar about an hour before my workout. That was a lot better. The weather here in the mid-atlantic was nice and cool with low humidity. Great running weather. I appreciate u reiterating the directions for me, Chuck. I'm a little hard-headed sometimes
