    This^ (purple sweet potato!)

I recommend you use it with low GI carbs or a mix of high and low GI carbs for best results.
Glycemyx would work wonderfully as well

Am I confused? I thought you were supposed to have high glycemic faster insulin spiking type cards? Like at the end of a workout. Be it that I am tripping? =/

The whole insulin spike post work out theory is old and it is a topic of debate.

If anything you would want really high glycemic during your work out (gatoraid or any sports drink) to fuel your body. There are many different approaches.

Are you trying to bulk? Cut? What sort of diet do you use?

Is it old? Damn I been out of the loop. I'm doing a slow slow cut. Recomp is difficult.

When in a deficit I prefer to get a protein shake followed by a meal dense in all the macros.

On a cut personally I stay away from higher glycemic carbs. The way my body is wired I just don't end up getting fat from oats. I also do not do well with low carb diets. That being said SS with a cup of oats, a sweet potato, or a cup of brown rice would be ideal in my opinion.

    Thanks broskis!

Anyone care to link me up to some literature that explains why people are moving away from the insulin spike post work out? I am curious.

Its more over that unless you're training twice a day or looking to hit a surplus there isn't a huge benefit to the simple sugars thrown in a post workout shake for dat insulin spike. After training your body is already primed from growth anyways, I personally just make sure I get my protein and eat some food afterwards. Today I got in some extra carbs with cheerios post since I'm doing HIIT/Abs later, after legs earlier today.

By all means If the high glycemic carb post work out is what works for you that's fine. To be honest there is no right way. Just don't think you must spike insulin post work out. I stay much leaner when I don't personally.

Well, I like to take advice from people who are more experienced/knowledgeable than me. I don't really have the time to conduct an experiment to see if my body responds better to high glycemic carbs. Since I'm on a cut, it does make more sense to avoid an insulin spike. So, I think I'll just take your word for it. There's enough logic that I don't feel the need for empirical evidence.
