whe should measurements be taken from?

as title says. with a tape measure where should it be placed to measure my waist any specifics lol not just at your waist ( which i know will be temping lol) ie is it at the hip bone? up from it? down etc etc thanks

I usually just do it around 3/4 in to 1 in below my navel (its the largest around for me so I figure its the best judge.)

It doesn't really matter if your doing it to gauge progress as long as you keep it consistent from measurement to measurement.
