What's the point of smoking after a workout?

I left the gym at around 2:40 A.M. and surprisingly, this lady and her husband left at the exact same time I did... Anyways, we were parked next to one another and what does she do, starts smoking directly after her work out... What's the point of doing cardio/weights and then smoking... Anyways, I just found it odd. I think she and her husband are new though, as I have never seen them before...

Well it's too bad she didn't bother to use these... I would have asked for one to give to one of my brothers...

    Oh boy!

Chocolate Cigarettes memories... I remember the day I was at the mall. My grandmother took me to see this new candy store. It was a gigantic store with every kind of candy you could imagine. There was only one candy that caught my eye though, Chocolate Cigarettes. My grandmother bought me them and as we went out of the store I popped one in my mouth. It was mouth watering. I decided that I would like to eat one every day. So I saved them in my drawer and ate one everyday for 10 days. Then I asked grandmother if we could go back to the gigantic candy store. We did this for a very long time and that's what made it a very memorable moment. ~ Yon from California

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahh... the mere mention of chocolate cigarettes brings me back to the days when it was "cool" to have a cigarette, but we were way to young to smoke. My sisters and I would walk to the downtown (which, where we lived, was only four blocks long). Each of us had some money to spend at the candy store. Most of the time my purchase was a box of chocolate cigarettes.

When we got outside the store, we each dove into our bags of candy. I took out my chocolate cigarettes, pulled one from the box, and held it in my hand the way I'd seen the grown-ups do. It was hard for me to resist the smell of the chocolate inside the wrapper, so my pretend cigarettes were devoured in a jiffy! ~ Anne from New Jersey

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I'm 19 now. but a long while back my family, and I went on a trip up to Canada. We stayed at this little Hotel on this corner street, which right in front of it was a little convenience shop. There wasn't much to do but wander around, so we went into the shop, me and my family, and what caught my eye were the Chocolate Cigarettes.

I asked my Dad if I could get them and he said yes. As soon as I munched down on one I was in heaven, the chocolate tasted sooo good, I must have eaten about 10 boxes that weekend, and taken a few more for the trip home, And I've missed them ever since then. ~ Jordan from Maryland

Chocolate cigarettes, man the mere thought of them makes my taste buds hurt because they want some. Chocolate cigarettes are the first candy that actually gave me a memory. I remember going to the candy shop in Cambria and getting these every time. That store was the only place we knew that had them and we only went to Cambria once a year. I was sad because I only got a box once a year! It was hard just having one! Chocolate cigarettes are my favorite candy and they always will be! These are good to get people off cigarettes and a must buy! ~ Kyle from California

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thinking back to chocolate cigarettes I remember them for the cool factor of pretending we were grown-ups and lighting-up. One day a friend and I took this pretending too far and instead of getting my dads real ones like my friend wanted to do we tried lighting the candy ones.

Well the paper burned chocolate melted and smelled bad and we ended up licking the rest off our hands. Neither of us became smokers of real cigarettes but we both still love chocolate. ~ Vicky from Arizona

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My memories of chocolate cigarettes as a kid was a great one. My family is from a little country town. Once every trip home, we would go to the general store. It was a general store like you would see in old time western movies. A wooden building with a giant porch filled with rocker that were likewise filled with old men smoking cigarettes and talking about how it used to be.

My brother and I would go in and buy some chocolate cigarettes and go back to the porch. One of the old-timers would give us one of their chairs and we would take out our chocolate cigarettes. They would smoke and we would "puff" on our chocolate. They would get a kick out of this and begin to tell us things of how it was in the late 1890s and early 1900s. They were all old coalminers. The respect I found for these people and how hard and different things were. ~ Kevin from Kentucky

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I remember one day when I was 8 I received my pocket money and I decided to spend it at the candy store. So I walk down the main street of town, Garden Avenue. When I get near the candy store I encountered a young boy, about my age, "smoking" a cigarette. I asked him how he was allowed to buy one and he told me just to ask the man at the counter for a "chocolate cig" I go in, pay the money, and get my pack.

I go outside and the boy is gone. As I lean against the wall, "smoking" and looking cool, the sheriff walks up. He gives me this long lecture on how smoking is bad! I listen politely and then take a bite out of my "cigarette" He looks at me in amazement and then says "It's chocolate, ain't it son?" ~ Jack from California

Quitting is hard, man. Let me tell ya. I'm workin hard on it, but it's biting me in the ass. I hate cardio (mostly because of my build), but am planning to start it as a stop-smoking aid! I know that if something is hampering my progress in the gym, then it will get changed and not the workout. I've cut back greatly lately, but am not embarassed to say that I do do it. Does it make me a bad person? A victim? No, I don't think so. But it shows that I have room for improvement and work to do.

I never did understand this idea. It is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in gym workouts. Ok lets see we go and put out bodies thru totrure then go light up and blow our hearts up. Some people just do not get it

    Totally agree with that one.

My friend does this every time we come out of the gym and it makes me irate. Even worse, he does it while I'm the vehicle. Off yourself buddy, but this Mullet has too much to live for.

I used to smoke before and right after. Quit now. I've seen some people stop lifting grab the smokes and the phone go outside, come back in and then start working out again.

You know what this is probably true. It seems that women have this ridiculous idea that smoking keeps them slim. Now i see A LOT of fat women smoking. Dumb.

Hottest chick at my work who i would love to bang had a packet of smokes on her desk. i asked one of the other girls why she had them and her reply was "oh since she quit smoking she has put on 6kg, so she's started smoking again". I very much doubt that has anything to do with it, damn girl eats chocolate like its going extinct. I've lost all interest now........................... .....ok i stil want to bang her but just once.
