<sigh>

Ok, front page of yahoo, what on earth is this jibberish:

"A cheerleader desperate to be size zero tells how teen girls are abusing steroids"

>> click that >> Yahoo!

I laughed about half way through, then it just began to irritate me, and reminded me of how stupid kids , do stupid things, and the stupid media, tells everyone about this stupid thing, that this stupid kid did.....

Although I do want to give credit as it seems to be aimed at stopping teens take steroids, which is OBVIOUSLY a good thing. However, It just became so irritating "yeah I like took all the pills out of the cupboard...."

hahaha lol for real The funny things i was waiting for as in all stereotypical news reports on steroids were them to not even mention what time of roid she was on. Dont you love how people in this nation generalize the word steroid as some magic miracle pill?lol

So what did everybody unfamiliar with the truth of steroids learn from this video?

1) Texas football players all take steroids
2) Only football players can inject girls
3) You will feel a JOLT within an hour
4) You will become a man if you are a girl
5) You will try to kill yourself
6) You will violently argue with everyone you know
7) You will eat random OTC pills from medicine cabinets

Whats amazing is, you can get all that for only $250! :woohoo:

Very nicely put. I couldn't have said it better.

I'm sick of this crap. The federal government has launched a crusade against steroids and now everyone against using, though most of them most likely know absolutely nothing about 'roids, are targeting the topic.

I just got done watching the video.

This girl had 'suicidal tendencies,' but the report states that the Winstrol caused this. Honestly, I think this girl is just one, of many, that is fcuked up. She's unhappy with her life, her looks, becomes suicidal, makes herself throw up, etc. It's quite sad actually, but I think it's ridiculous that the family is blaming her use of steroids. Personally, I think the parents should be to blame. She's a young, teenage girl and she obtained steroids. It's her fault, but her parents should've been watching over her. So, it's their fault as well.

I wonder how much training experience she's had. None perhaps? I doubt her diet was in order. She's clearly very unhappy with the way she looks, so I doubt she eats appropriately. This is just another chapter to the federal government's steroids crusade.

I wonder where her parents were, or where the football team's coach was. Being football players, I'm sure they do plenty of eating and plenty of training. I can understand them taking steroids, but lets hope they're at least 18 and that they don't abuse them.

She's irresponsible, misinformed, and insecure.

I have no idea where the hell her suicidal thoughts came from. I could understand the weight gain (muscle mass), had she been training and eating appropriately. The deepening of the voice and appearance of acne explains itself. But the other 'sides' weren't making much sense to me.

She must have a massive clitoris, though. The boys will swoon.

I think these thoughts were prior to the winstrol. She mentions being unhappy with her image - hence asked for "roids".

Didnt turn out the way she wanted, her voice got deeper etc - more unhappy.

Then she raided the cupboard for OTC drugs )probably claritin d, and some Viagra )...

Had she used responsibly, which I realize is very hard for youngsters nowadays, they probably would've replaced her on the cheerleading squad and asked her to become a player on the team. She'd be a girl that the guys just wouldn't dare fcuk with.

The media always talks about steroids in a negative light. They never say, "When used responsibly, these steroids can help one accomplish..." It's just talk about individuals becoming 'addicted,' not having self-control, developing serious health problems, young people illegally obtaining 'roids, people suffering from 'roid rage' and becoming violent, individuals possessing banned and illegal 'roids, and so on and so forth. But it's always the steroids' fault. They're tricky little boogers. Responsibility has clearly gone out the window. People end up being misinformed and act like they know everything, so they dive head-on into a situation. They end up screwing up because they didn't know enough and weren't prepared to deal with possible negative outcomes, so in turn, they're embarrassed and ashamed, so they decide to blame it on the steroids instead of accepting the blame and taking responsibility for their own actions.

This pisses me off.

well put.

Funny how they dont put as much emphasis on drinking and smoking as they do on roids and mary jane. Then again roids and mary dont make any money for corporations or the government....or the tv network.

If used responsibly, I feel that a life of marijuana and steroids use (remember, I said, 'if used responsibly') would be much safer than a life of drinking and smoking. Of course, a glass or two of red wine once in a while is actually quite healthy for you, but I'm referring to beer and hard liquor.

The government will sink their teeth into anything that'll make them money.

They can say and do whatever they want, including making bogus laws banning 'roids, but in the end, we're all gonna do whatever the hell we want anyways. So, they're really just wasting their time.

Wow I can only IMAGINE what the results would be if they tested the HS teams in Texas like Midland, Odessa, etc..

Would the community even acknowledge it if there positive results? (which I am sure there would be some) Or would they turn a cheek to keep the pristine Texas HS football scene in the spotlight?

Without a doubt.

Honestly, there is at least 1 article per week about a local DFW (Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex) school and steroids. What normally happens, is the kid gets caught as he failed to do post cycle therapy and parents take him to doc.

Parents tell media, school threatens to do drug testing.

Story goes away. Everyone forgets. Schools continue to have drug problem.

or

Kid gets caught with them in locker (why on earth do they take them to school is beyond me), kid gets expelled for week or so. End of story.

ah Im glad you commented on this since you're from that area, and that's honestly what I expected!

I'm from NW Pennsylvania and if ANYBODY on ANY team in our high schools got caught for steroids, there would be a community uproar, locker room inspections, and everybody just pissed off and highly skeptical of athletes in general..

no one gives a damn here. They blame it on drug dealers and the steroids (as if the steroid seeks out the student and is a living thinking organism set on world destruction). The kids usually get away with it.

Mary jane is the target here. WAY WAY over the top if you ask me. Kids get expelled permanently for m j, but steroids is a slap on the wrist, visit the school counsellor and they continue in the football team.

Football is a big deal around my area. It's the most competitive sport amongst local high schools. Each team is good in their own way, but of course, they alternate as champions each year.

I went to a private high school here, Seton Catholic Central. They've won many titles. If a student gets caught with marijuana, then the drugs are confiscated, parents are notified, student is picked up, and student returns to school within a week. That's all. I'm sure the same would happen if steroids were involved. But if it was a public high school, such as Plattsburgh or Peru, then I'm sure there would be a community uproar, as Red Dog had already mentioned.

The only things that I've heard about in my area have been drugs, alcohol, and teacher-student sex in schools, but that's it. Nothing about steroids... well, not yet at least.

Dont know any girls who used steroids, but I did know girls who had eating disorders, drug problems among other things.

Wheres Officer Revieri to regulate these steroid users ... it is clearly the biggest problem among teenage girls.

Actually the only steroid connection i knew throughout high school was a family of guys a few years older than me. consequently, they were the biggest supplier of other recreational drugs as well.

what do they say, 'when you outlaw XYZ then the outlawz will have/use/sell/deal XYZ'

The federal government have yet to figure out that we'll just get our drugs elsewhere if they insist on taking them and keeping them from us.
