  11. I remember Blink-182 being recognized, whether you agree or disagree, as one of the most successful and popular bands in the past 20-25 years (I think I remember it being a decade or two, maybe slightly over), for constantly selling out shows and selling millions of albums worldwide. There was something on Vh1, or Mtv about it, about a month or so ago.

All I know is, this thread is not going to end. People are going to agree to disagree, argue, debate, and defend their favorite bands. Pretty good idea for a thread, though.

Rooting for the Buffalo Bills was already bad enough Chad, no need to add these guys. Did you also forget REM and Bon Jovi ?

That's be my list. I don't hate saying Guns and Roses (the original group), but I will hate saying Bon Jovi...not as a personal fav, but they were quite popular for a while there)

  16. In no particular order:

    Guns N Roses
    Metallica
    Nirvana
    Pearl Jam
    U2
    Red Hot Chili Peppers

*Out of all of those bands listed, I actually never listen to a single one regularly. I just have to credit where it is due. I have been jamming to the Chinese Democracy leaks though.

Funny you should mention them, I was thinking "no one mentioned NIN" when I clicked on the thread. I think they get props for coming up with their own genre of music (Industrial).
