All I got's a li'l 93 RX-7 that's broken so often you'd think I ran 2.2 bar.
mine is also a SC300, but i strapped on a turbo on the stock motor... so i'm running the same motor with a diff head, higher compression, etc...
i need new rims and tires and suspension badly...
i love RX-7s except for the part that they are always broken...
if i ever owned an FD i'd throw a LT1 in it and build it up or a 3 rotor if i could afford it

1989 Camaro RS with a new tranny and a ls1 engine swap I got put in it, with two thousand watt 12's running in the hatch with two 1000 watt amps for each and I have a huge power capacitor for them. With a midnight blue color and a custum exhaust job me and my friends put on.
Wear a beater take the t-tops down and goto the club banging some beat OH YEAHH!

fender you got another block ready for when yours goes? i know 3 people in the area that had modded 2nd gens and had the crank walk on them... we're talking basic stuff too; small upgrade turbo like a 16g and other boltons... one was a TSI AWD the other was a GST like yours, same year too

Some of you must be well off. How can you purchase all the mods on your cars? All my money goes to supplements!!

Mustangs dont exactly fit my taste but I'd watch what I say about ALL of them. Some (v8's) are quite powerful. The newest Cobras are real fast.Originally Posted by Chad

Just yesterday I bought an '04 VW GTI 1.8T. 5 speed, leather interior, Monsoon sound system. Definitely adding mods ASAP!

Nice choice Super. I see the 04 Jetta GLIs are coming in with the 1.8T this year. I have an 02 GLI fully loaded right now and like the looks of the 04 but I'm not sure if I'm willing to give up the low end torque. Just in case I'm looking at the Audi A4 3.0.Originally Posted by supersoldier

Well the first thing I'm doing is a chip upgrade, adds 40-43 horsepower and ups boost to 15-16 psi, for $350 at Neuspeed's site, but I think I saw if for like $280 elsewhere. http://www.neuspeed.com/products/pro...s_euro&p_id=95Originally Posted by NPursuit
You could get the same one on the new Jetta, plus gas mileage would still be better than the VR6. Also a performance intake manifold adds 12HP and 14lb/ft of torque for $599(gotta get the polished!). http://www.abdracing.com/home.html (just scroll down)
I should have both of those installed within a month (waiting for tax return), then I'll add a cat-back, and some other goodies down the road.
I don't think I could find it in me to not buy an Audi though, if I could afford one that is! Audi's are ****ing SWEEEEEET!!!

I don't spend a lot of time looking at mods for cars these days. I went through that era when I was younger when 600hp V8s were what everyone wanted but I did spend some time a few months ago looking at a few options. Have you heard of a company called Shine racing? Supposedly they make the best suspension for the VWs and they also make a great chip. I know they have a pretty good deal if you get both the chip and suspension installed at the same time. Something to think about. I don't know where you are located but they are in Massachusetts.

You may want to further research this...Chips "trick" you engines computer into thinking the air coming in is cooler than it is. If you want to run higher boost, buy a manual boost controller and a boost gauge. Chips will kill your car.Originally Posted by supersoldier

The chip is made by Neuspeed, VW's official aftermarket performance company. I've already talked to the service manager at the dealer and he said he knows of a few people who have done it with great results and no problems.Originally Posted by AWILD

Of course, he's the one selling it...they arent going to bad mouth it. Seriously, find a VW forum and ask around on there. Maybe its different from my Mitsu's and DSMs but nobody even considers a chip in those communitiesOriginally Posted by supersoldier

Thats a lot of smack talk against mustangs... there's a few 03 Cobras around here putting down 500rwhp on the stock supercharger on pump gas that would love to teach you a lesson
I've run a couple WS6 6-speeds and won by 2-3 cars everytime... bumped my boost to 10psi; have beaten a new M3, plenty of 350zs, and too many DSMs to count
03-10-2004, 05:27 PM
so someone with a cobra is talking s!#* about my firehawk? well i do respect cobras but the bottom line is that they NEED a blower to even come close to an LS1. and when i said i dropped $7,000+ on my car i forgot to say that 4grand of it went to VORTEC
