I thought american wedding was a waste of money. I mean it had a few funny parts but all in all i was let down. Stifler made the whole movie IMO, w/o him it'd have sucked.

Which did you like the best and why.

I liked the 2nd one best personally, thought it was the funniest one w/ the best story line.
 
I disagree, I liked that movie. It was a good way to end it off. For the most part though, they showed too much in the previews. My fav would have to be the second.
 
stifler makes all of the movies, if he wasnt in them i wouldnt have watched the second or the third one.
 
labrad, you must see the other two, both were funnier than American Wedding. The second being my fav also...

Stifler is by far the most important cast member.

but the most funny and memorable line in the trilogy would have to be "and one time at band camp I stuck a flute in my p****"
still get the chuckles when I think of that
 
its a tie b/t the first and the third but I'll say the third but only cuz stiffler and the **** he goes through...gay club, eatting **** - he's the man
 
Although I hadn't seen the 3rd yet, I would have to go with the 2nd one.

I loved all three :P ... but AP2 rocked the most :P
 
I agree with you guys who chose American Wedding. Sure the stroryline was weak, but it seemed like they made Stiffler the center of the movie. Which made it f'n hilarious. Dog humping seen, priceless.
 
Ok....who's the jackass who just voted?

BTW, I liked the last one best. It showcased Sean William Scott as Stifler a lot more. That guy is funny.
 
In rank of best to worst:

If you judge it objectively, I'd say Wedding comes out on top but in 1999, this movie seemed to come out of left field. Nobody I knew (I was 15 at the time) thought it was going to be good or even decent. Since at the time, teen comedies were groaners rather than knee slappers. For the effect, AP is the best.

AP2 sucked. Very few funny moments put in there although the script was better than AW or even the first. It was well written but not hilarious. In fact, come to think of it, I didn't laugh once. My friends and I went to see this first week in 2001. I remember how packed it was. We must have waited 45 minutes for tickets and we almost were at the cutoff point. Also, another disappointment was that the nude scene in AP2 was much worse than in the first.

AW gets a lot of undeserved attacks. I think the effect from the first movie was gone and AP2 was one of those movies everyone thought was hilarious walking into the theater but walked out pissed. Went to see it maybe a month after it came out but still had a bit of people there watching it. Too many good moments.

I hope its finished off because an AP4 would probably be a box office failure. I don't think AW fetched any decent numbers either but AP1 and 2 were pretty big.
