Fire Dept Gym Setup

Next spring my fire dept will be getting a brand new station built and my Chief has put me in charge of setting up a workout room among a vast amount of other things. I don't have a huge amount of space but enough to set up a nice area.

Here's what my initial thoughts are:

Cage
Lat Pulldown/Seated row station
T-Bar
Squat Rack
Dead Lift area
Leg Press
Hyperextension (firefighters are known for bad backs)
Bench Press (Incline & Flat)
pull up/dip/roman chair situp contraptions
and a setup of dumbells and attatchments

and then some cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical, bike)

My Question:
If someone was going to give you $5000.00 to spend on equipment, do you have any particular brand you'd go with?

Any suggestions on changing the above list is appreciated. Obviously I have plenty of time but I want to get a good head start.

Thanks

I'd look at getting some used equipment from some reputable online retailers or going to a local gym and asking about purchasing some of their older equipment to save some bucks. I'm a big fan of Hammer Strength equipment.

leg extension, leg curl and claf raise as well

there's always some gym going out of business and there's always ebay for getting cheap equipment from places

A lot of people seem happy w/ Invalid Link Removed

Solid equipment and what caught my eye is free shipping!

my fire dept went with nebula for the dumb bells and hammer strength for everything else. everything you mentioned my fire dept has except for the incline/flat bench. they have a smith machine and a bench that inclines/declines.

I don't care one way or another if it's new or used, like you said, 45 lbs is 45 lbs. My fear is that my chief will end up wanting to get one of those Weider multi gyms and then it will sit and only collect dust. And yet another guy said he would really like to get the place outfitted with a bunch of Total Gyms.

Keep the ideas coming....Thanks
