seems like its all kazaa users....im safe for now....ive got something like 2000-2500 songs on my computer. TIme to delete some.

hmmm If I got a subpoena, I would just purchase the CDs for the artists I had downloaded....then I would go into court and demonstrate I have copies of the music. Since it is legal to have a copy of something you own, there shouldnt be a big problem. I think the copyright infrigment fines are wayyy over what you would pay in covering your ass..

I am with you on this one WYD, if I remember correctly they writers of this bill originally wanted to be able to search anyone's harddrive to see if they had illegal copies of software, music, or anything else.. now that would be a kicker to say the least.. great way to kill the Internet

My internet provider hasnt been issued a single Subpeona as of this evening, so they say. Bellsouth seems safe for DSL so far cause I know Ive raped the industry pretty good. But for all who do download. Use Shareaza. That **** rocks. Its like a search engine for files. It searches Edonkey, gnutellas, bearshare and a bunch others. the only one it doesnt search is Kazaa, probably because of all the advertising crap.
And Sheesh, that link dont work for peerguardian. I should be safe though since I perfer software and porn over music, but I still get my share. And besides normally the songs are so fucked up after downloading that if it sounds good I buy it. You can say I sample it. If I like it I buy it, If I dont its as simple as the delete key. If the music industry can rape me by selling me a $20 cd with one good song (one fucking song out of anywhere between 12 and 20, what fucking bullshit) then you better believe Ill rape back.
Besides, I hate trying to open new CD packaging. Unless you have a knife or are willing to chew on the case to get through that plastic wrap your screwed.

All CD platic have a plastic strip that stands out from the rest of the plastic, find that, it peels off easily, then you can just slide off the rest of the case.

That freakin strip never works. You have to have chick fingernails just to start it then it breaks a quarter inch down and once again your screwed. I have been know to put a lighter to it to melt my way through, but I have a torch lighter so its like im welding or something.

You should make a thread with detailed instructions on how to properly open a CD. Make sure it has plenty of pictures though because Im not very good with instructions.
