I'm skeptical.
The last CD (Iron Flag) was GARBAGE. Good Lord it was bad.
Wu trying to go R&B - after RZA spoke about other rappers doing that on Wu Tang Forever.
I don't think they can capture the feeling of 36 Chambers or even Forever.

Rza has been experimenting but his Birth of a prince cd was very original.![]()
How many of you guys listen to the Gravediggaz?
Diary of a Madman

I'm with you on being skeptical. Of course I would love for them to recapture what they had, but I'm not getting my hopes up. One thing is for sure though, the GZA will kill it as usual.I'm skeptical.

Tell me you don't have a W tattoo:blink: :twisted:Killah Priest has a real good cd out now too, called "The Offering"
Reminds me of the Ironman / Cuban Linx sound. Two hot cds there too!
I've always liked wu because they had that chinese feel ... very unique. plus they are talented at what they do.
gravediggaz is nice, frukwan solo cd is pretty nice too.

At one time my wu collection on the computer was approx. 80 full albums, all their solo efforts, the wu tang extended family, instrumentals, videos... then i quit smoking dope and got a job

Felt the need to bump this thread. This cd is pretty weird. It's alot different than older wu tang, the beats are mainly based around bass-percussion with subtle melodies. The flows are HOT, I think it's a cd that will 'grow on you'
Heres my favorite song (so far) on the CD:

As you can see it's alot different, but WU is about shaking boundaries and doing new things.
I wasn't nuts about it at first...but it's WU. Rushing elephants, wolves, campfire, and the heart gently weeps are all money tracks.....and the ODB tribute.
Exactly, its starting to grow on me. The subtle things Rza put into the production are starting to pop out, and I'm starting to get to know (and like) the songs.
ODB tribute is real good too.
doesn't Ghostface have a new group or **** now?
the only thing i can think of is 'icewater' which is more like a label rather than a group.
wow talk about back in the day. For all of you hard core WU fans here's a test. Do you know of the Darkman album?

I didn't really care for Uncontrolled Substance. Also, lets not forget "Bobby Digital."
"Bobby, bobby, bobby, digi , digi , digi , stuck to your ass like a Victoria's Secret wedgy"
I listened to that album so much, I thought I was Bobby Digital...the second one was good too.
Rza is the fukcin man! (his new sh*t the afro samurai whatever was kinda weak)..
Birth of a Prince was tight too! (that track "fast cars" is siiick)
