Politics 2008

  1. Politics 2008

I know that the politics section is closed, but I am curious as to if the 2008 election were held today, which candidate you would vote for and why.

attn mods: If you do not want this topic discussed, I understand and please delete.

  2. I honestly think that Clinton has a strong chance of winning. Bush has set the stage in a very bad light for Republicans so, IMO, I don't foresee a Republican winning the 2008 election.

I would have liked to see Al Gore run, but that didn't happen.

  3. I'm hoping that Obama will knock Hillary on her hypocritical psycho ass.

If that doesn't happen, I'm voting for Ron Paul(as he's a true republican) or third party(as I hate the two party system).

I'd probably go with McCain if he gets it, basically any vote not for hillary or obama is a good one in my book

As much as the media would like everyone to think that Bush has set a great stage for the Democrats, check out the most recent polls over the last 6 months. More people believe that Bush is doing a good job (35ish%) than that Congress (democrat led now) is doing a good job (low 20% range). So I wouldn't be surprised to see a strong Republican candidate take the election, even though the news outlets seem to make Clinton into wonder woman. She rode Bill's coat tails into the Senate (name recognition entirely) and doesn't even have a great record in her few years in the Senate. But she'll make a great president, because her qualifications are...well...umm...oh thats right she doesn't have any.

  6. The only republican candidate making noise right now is Ron Paul, and no media outlet is giving him the time of day because he's too "radical".

  7. Shoulda made this thread a Poll.

  8. Mike Huckabee. He knows and understands the poor direction that this country is in, and knows how to turn us around. He's had lots of experience as the governor of Arkansas, and has excellent character. He seems like the only honest guy in the race. As it stands right now, he's a close 2nd to Romney in the Iowa polls. Giuliani is a little too much on the left side for my liking, Ron Paul doesn't at all understand the war or people that we are fighting, Obama is weak on absolutely everything, and Hillary is just a stupid-socialist ****.

  9. I actually gotta say if I had my druthers I would vote Edwards or Paul

  10. I'm voting for Ron Paul. No other politician appeals to me right now and I feel he's better suited to lead our country.
