Sucks. I have as of recent visited 3 times...thats it.I did NOT register and will not. I prolly totaled 20 thread visits, and i would say 98% of them turned into a flame fest, had no useable/helpful info or got zero responses. This is so pathetic. I searched and turned results and noticed alot of double posts. I know some of the guys here are over there and im sure if i was there for awhile i would adjust, but i dont want to have to pick through excessive amounts of shyt posts becasue some douche thinks hes the shyt.
END RANT: thank you for enjoying and feel free to let it fly in here!
 
Well for me its more along the lines of all the rape threads and degrading of women. If I didn't have to do some RPN work over there I would'nt go. It's like kiddie romper room.
 
It's a big forum.. there are trolls, and there are good posters, that's life.
Almost every search you do on google relating to bodybuilding, bb.com comes up.

heh.. someone told me a few days ago they wished I got raped there.

Yea, they hit on alot of the ladies. Its pretty sad. Oh well...glad i found this place before there.
 
It was good back in the day when I first started bodybuilding; I somehow came across this place, though. That was the end of BB.com for. I also soon switched from buying supps at BB.com to using NP.
 
There is definitely a lot of info there, but it gets pretty rough at times...especially when they think you are a newb. I have been ganged up on over there a time or two and it's not fun...it comes with the territory though and I just take it with grain of salt...not sure what to say about the rape thing though...that's just plain ridiculous.
 
It has always been sort of a joke around here especially in regards to trying to get insightful feedback or intelligent commentary on specific issues. And there used to be a whole thread here on "best BB.com quotes", rangig from the completely inarticulate to the insanely unintelligible. That said, there are a number of people here who are frequent guests there (and advocates), so I by no means mean to offend. In truth, I bump around there occasionally, and there is a wealth of good info there in terms of articles, etc. I just find AM to be much more comprehensive and sophisticated in terms of discussion topics and overall substance.
 
no doubt.

I post there, but find its alot of crap....certain things fly for certain people, while others its doesnt. I dont care to elaborate on that....lol..but i will always call AM home thats for sure.
 
Ill prolly hit it up here if no one has any input on a product. I headed over there to check Methyl DX3 thoughts and i got enough, nothing intelligent but people like it.
I know some guys here like it and i too have no means to direct anythign said directly to them. I solely speak of the ones you blatently see being ridiculous.

It is frightening that these posters are a sample of our young (and not so young) male community.

I have a 19yo (athlete) daughter and an up and coming 6yo (athlete) daughter and it horrifies me that this is the sociopaths that they share oxygen with.

I am sorry for your experiences there.

I am torn between pity and rage for these deranged males.

We the staff do our very best to keep ALL social/sexual discussion as tasteful and respectful to all gender/orientation/marital status and so forth as possible. The cyber/message/forum/bodybuilding/supplement world is not exclusive to male heterosexuals. We draw ALL walks of life and hope to make all feel comfortable being themselves.
 
YEa. I recomend this forum to multiple people. I say..."i cant tell you all this stuff i know to much. Go to anabolicminds.com and look around they have so much info there." They go huh? I say "SHUT UP NOOB!" haha well without the last part...:trout:
 
My perspective of BB.com has changed in the last year or so.

(Que B5150 to ask himself "who are you and where have you taken the real Jmh80!")

I realized that I can help a lot more people on there than I really can on here.
Yeah - it's harder to sift through the God-awful grammar used over there.

But - I can't tell you how many young guys I've PMed who were obviously really angry about something that happened in high school (kids making fun of them), or people with serious questions about their career/profession, or kids in college needing advice.

A lot of people give crap for advice - I like to think I'm one of the few that gives good advice.

I honestly stay away from the supplement company threads. If someone is looking for supplement advice - yeah, I'll chime in. But - I don't get involved in people pissing on other companies (be it SNS, IBE, or anyone else I like).


My overall message is - I wouldn't take most of what those people say too seriously. There are a LOT of people that have personal issues and they take it out on the board. I feel pity for them.
Rise above the retardation.
 
I should add that BB.com is one of THE worst moderated boards I've been to on the 'net.

Not nearly enough of them - and they partion which mods can moderate parts of the forum.
So - you get gay porn threads on the Misc. section for days at a time. (Just an example.)
 
I have not yet came across anything sexual in manner (gay or straight) @ bb.com, but it is nearly enticing just to get some good read to go back there again.

My experience (i joined back in Jan '07 and not proud) was strictly the whole 'flaming' thing. I think I hit negative points in about 5 minutes.


You have better chances at winning the lottery, versus finding any 'quality' information there.

Someone needs to contact a university and have them do a 'pre-bb.com IQ exam' and follow up with another IQ exam 1 month after being exposed to bb.com's forum.

This is solely a hypothesis, but I would naturally assume those results would indicate a decrease in intellegence.

I'm proud of you. I am also envious. It seems those experiences have been so few and far between for me these days.

That board is not unique in the sense of issues with people. I mean here we have a fruit cult formed just for those guys ;) But seriously, people have issues whether they are red, green or registered members. You know me well enough to know I'll be the first to tell you (and anyone who cares to listen) "I got issues". But I believe that admitting that [insert issue] is bothering you/me is the beginning of the healing. Too many people have too much pride to admit that they hurt.

I still want to know what you did with jmh80 :)

I admire the fact that you go out of your way to give some of those people good advice. However, a lot of them should be seeing 'professionals' for their problems, not griping away on the forums.....making them look like psychopaths in the process.

I'm jealous of you guys who were here on the board before he got banned. He seemed like a very interesting guy.
 
Yea i think what helps here that we seem to be a very tight knit community. Yea new guys are always in and out and some guys just tend to disappear but we all got eachothers back it ssems and support everyone as much as we can.

You know it is a tricky situation when the women don't mind. In that particular case there really are no victims. You can't rape the willing. Any women in those threads is there by choice.

Refer to my post above. There is a report post button. If we EVER get a report of that nature from a women I assure you the line will be made very clear.

Let's not fight about this. It is a non issue at this point.

bb.com and 1fast400 have to be some of the worst sites I lurked before joining AM. I never found anything worth a **** at bb and a lot of the replies I found at 1fast to simple questions regarding ph/ps were things like "that **** don't work. Use something real like test or deca." then they'd lock the thread.
Real hard core I guess.

No idea who Pirate is - but 1Ad man pissed everyone off at first. Then we realized how stupid he was - then it was really funny.

Dunno if I'd characterize him as a guy - a mongoloid more like it.

Someone did post pics of him from another board. I'm pretty sure he was quite the fatty (which belied the nature of his posts regarding all his oral steroid usage and various alpha male-ness).

I'm convinced he was real though. At least - he had the same sort of posts on a few boards...
 
While I agree that there are alot of pictures of women posted in their threads they have never personally degraded me and they support me in my logs and answer any serious questions I have.

I have met a few in real life at the Arnold or the O so its like playful jokes between friends. Not at all threatening or serious plus knowing a few on and off these boards you know its an act its not who they realy are:)
