Legend
There has been an alarming rate of posting behaviors that are really not the type of behaviors that we want perpetuated by our AM community. These are in no particular order and they are directed at no one specifically and everyone in general.
Homophobic comments: fag, homo, queer and any other derogatory term used to negatively identify someone as one of a homosexual orientation. I hate to break it to some of our membership, but we have a very diverse world and therefore a very diverse community. There is a statistical amount of those who have a homosexual orientation (those that are 'out' and likely more who are not) in our world and therefore I am sure that statistic is reflected to a degree in our community. Bodybuilding, weightlifting, supplements and all that it entails is not exclusive to heterosexuals. This needs to stop now.
Thread hijacking and O/T discussion: there has been a tremendous amount of O/T comments and thread hijacking taking place. In some cases that is all a member contributes to a thread, or the board for that matter. As a community we encourage research. This barrage of hijacking and O/T comments dilutes the quality and content of valuable thread data that could be used for research. If you feel an uncontrollable need to express yourself in an off topic way then please do so using the Invalid Link Removed function or Invalid Link Removed. Far too many members post worthless comments when they could and should not post at all. Not everyones threads are for your banter. Any member who feels that an other member is hijacking their thread or taking it O/T is encouraged to communicate so in your thread directly to the offending posting member.
Excessive use of emoticons: the above applies to this as well. Quite honestly it is childish but that is just me, and really, some of you are young enough to be my children. Tasteful or modest use of the feature is of course acceptable. When a member posts 20 or more large and obnoxious emoticons that takes up excessive amounts of thread space it dilutes the value and the content of a thread. This also applies to excessively large images as well.
Please understand that I am not trying to take anyones fun or good time away. But there is a time and a place for it. There is a general discussion forum that can be used for this purpose. Keep it there and out of sponsor, supplement and other specific forums as well as other member threads and logs.
Also understand that I am also a member of the AM community. I pride myself in the integrity and quality of the content in our community. As an active member of the community and a member of the staff it is my intention to uphold that standard. The staff cannot do this alone. It is my hope that you will too.
Thanks you for understanding and for your support.
