How much do you deadlift?

I don't deadlift, they make big ugly callouses on my hands. :bruce3:

Last DL workout 500 X 1, 455 X 4 :dl: about 2 weeks ago now.

I can't deadlift now. I tried yesterday, after nearly a year and a half of not deadlifting and got 405x1.

Best I've gotten is 495x4 on sumo deadlift.

Tendonitis and a hernia now prevent me from deadlifting.

EDIT: Went back into my paper training logs.

March 2006, at a weight of 178 pounds, I did 495x5 sumo deadlift, about 1 month before the a bodybuilding competition.

I dunno but not too much due to injury and lack of working but i'm in there now slowly hitting it with low weights of sub 200 lbs. It'll get to a respectable number one day though.

Best I did was 405x5 when I was around 205-210.
I did 500lbs from a power rack, lol (starting from my knees - not off the floor).

I'll use a hernia operation and a hip problem as my excuse as to why I don't anymore, lol. But right now it's still in the 350lbs range at best.
Either that or too many people were checking out my ass when I did them, lol.

Does it count if my friend lifted over 800lbs in the middle of a strongman competition? (after doing 4-5 events). The guy in 2nd place lifted 800lbs WITHOUT wrist wraps. I'd be afraid to shake that guys hand.

I feel weak now...

Holy cow that's crazy. How tall are you?

6 feet - for some reason Ive always been decent at deads, but my bench sucks. Go figure:) I'm also a lot stronger at pulling exercises than I am at pushing - it is slowly balancing out though.

agreed. i think he'd be one of those that if you put 800lbs on the bar and told him it was 400lbs, he'd rep it out thinking it was 400 and not even notice a difference.

6'4 244lbs the most that I have done was 495lbs for 3 reps. But now I am stuck at 405lbs(damn it)

I am going to start using the sumo style and see if that helps.

6'0", 190, best DL was 345 a couple weeks ago. I have a herniated disc and slight scoliosis, so I'm happy.

5'10 185

deads with freeweights..never been good at due to posture I think. In the low 300's last time I did them.

Trap bar deads are where I excelled for a while..hit 605 before my back injury. Due to tilted pelvis..not bad form.

Now I stick to the wheel barrell and usually do 450-500.

Personally, for me the biggest boost I got in both squat and dead strength is when I concentrated on leg press for about a year and got up to 1000lbs. Weird and backwards, I know.

My biggest feat of strength was 2 summers ago when I was doing field work. The jeep trail I was on was blocked by a 60' wood power pole.

I deaded it out of the way because I am so cool and gigantic:afro: lol

I started deadlifting again after a long ass time of no deadlifting. Did 285 lbs x 6. I'm about 190 lbs and 6'. I'm hoping to hit a 400 1RM one of these days.

My best ever was 495 lbs at a weight of 220'ish.

Now with my herniated discs I don't dead heavy, and don't know my 1rm.
