Hmmm... Interesting post guys. Not too much hip hop but more dominated by Rock, I guess tastes here vary huh? None the less all interesting, keep posting guys!! Maybe I should start an "List Top 3 80's Songs" lol I'm sure I'll get a good bunch of songs, but lets save it for that thread rather than here, it will be more specific on a search.

This is damn near impossible.

I'm a pretty heavy trance listener now, but I love all forms of rock n roll, hip hop, 80s rock/pop/metal, but I'll name a few.

Seasons That Wither-Aerosmith
Sanitarium-Metallica
Break Stuff-Limp Bizkit
Eminem-Soldier

I remember listening to slipknot 4 years ago when they were nothing, no one kenw of them, all they had was a webpage. Now thier huge...... thier music was O.K, but too much rage. ANger for no reason. I think thier masks is what got them where they are, the whole theme behind it. Anyways who am I to critique? I listen to dance, 80's, house, alternative and some hip hop/rap.

Yea I remember listening to slipknot back in 98 they were alright around then. then they came out with a cd in 99 and that one was a big improvement considering the recording on it. The new stuff is alright i can dig some like my plague but i preferred more of the eyeless sound off the first album. I still enjoy playing it here and there. I used to talk to the guys online and **** but lost touch with them after awhile.

For me for lifting purposes it has to be heavy to the extreme. My 3 favorite tracks for this purpose are as follows:

1. Morbid Angel - Summoning Redemption
2. Vader - Creatures of Light and Darkness
3. Samael - From Malkuth to Kether

I have way too many bands/tracks that I really dig but those are the 3 that I tend to put on while deadlifting, as they really get me stoked.

Man, used to have so much respect for this board...but cripes...some of you got really bad taste!
Just kidding of course....
My top three...ask me again tomorrow, it might change...

Angel of Death -- Slayer
Violin -- Kate Bush
Getten' to Know You -- Parliment

A close 4th was Copacabana from Barry Manilow. I had that on one of those crappy little 45s that you used to find in magazines...I think mine was from the back of a cereal box...I used to rock out to that when I was in first or second grade. Anyone else remembers those records?...you'd put a quarter on the corner to keep the needle from dragging it around and totally piss off whomever owned the player you used... If you give it a listen, it's sorta adult for a cereal box...dancer watches her lover get gunned down, then winds up an insane drunken woman living in the past--hardcore!
