Oh I know, I gotcha bro. I always try to cement that point in some younger readers heads, though. It really saddens me when I see some people place all too much value on education, I get this way from working at a law school. You wouldn't believe how "dumb" some of the "smart" people are there (maybe you would though!).

  3. As for me, we'll i'm in my last year of university.

Finishing up a BBA (finance) and a BA in IT. Looking for a job now, was looking for a position in investment banking, but with the economy so crap, competition is VERY high, were each bank highers about 1 person from across Canada.

But, I was worried about the amount of hours, cause then I couldn't eat 7 meals a day and workout!

Ya, some pretty bright people in here!

Agree, they spend to much time  in education that they are no street smarts, or in other words they lack of real world work experience.

I hear ya, I'm paying my way through college and also supported and paid my ex's way through, I'm bitter as hell sometimes also. I try not to be, but when you see people who take advantage of it, the bitterness comes back so quickly. I just try and remember that in the end everyone pays their dues, one way or the other!

  15. I agree, I have to pay my whole way through. No financial help for any thing from any one. I'm bitter about it sometimes too, but at least I don't have any loans to pay off....yet.

  16. Rhino, now I see one of the things we have in common besides our birthday.  I am a CPA and have been since 1978.  Currently semi-retired and sharing my time as a Campus Minister and working in prison ministry.  Good luck on the CPA exam.

I have like over 20 grand in loans to pay off, and I only have an associates.  I want to pay them down before I start going back to school.  My next school will be a lot more expensive I think, so thats gonna be rough.  And MBA's are just expensive as hell no matter what

If I win the lottery I will pay all our ways through college.
