Take No Prisoners!?

IMO the Coalition Forces should take no POW`s.
When I say POW`s, ‚h`‚? strictly referring to Iraqi troops not civilians.
Is it worth the cost to take POW`s?
There is obviously the financial cost of keeping POW`s, plus personnel have to be used to guard them.
Furthermore, we have already seen that our troops can be deceived by Iraqi troops who give the impression of laying down arms, only to later launch an attack.
Sure some POW`s can be used for intelligence purposes.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know my thoughts & see what you think.

It is stupid to take POWs, granted. It seems a conflict of interest of the highest degree. That said, if we choose not to abide by the international rules of combat then we can't honestly be upset when others don't, and by such actions we become no better then the least honorable.

agreed Hal... the amount of civility with which this war (I prefer "regime excision") is being waged is quite extraordinary. I am glad and hopeful that more and more of the world's population will realize what is truly happening here.
