well for anyone interested i'm 2 days away from my show
as of tuesday i weighed 192 (kind of surprising), so i really have no shot at coming in as a middleweight, weigh in is saturday morning and i should probably be between 182-186 so i'll be on the lighter end of the light heavyweight class ... i was never really concerned about what weight class i ended up in .. its my first show and i didn't want that to be on my mind, i just wanted to come in looking my best

i feel like absolute **** i'm so tired and fatigued its a chore just to not keel over (gotta love it)

on a positive note, my posing has improved a lot since the last round of pics at 4 weeks out

all of my front poses are looking very strong (even my front lat spread has improved a lot although my back width isn't a strong point)
my side poses are looking great
my rear poses are not up to par with the side and the front .. i just don't have as much back thickness as i would like but its all i have to work with :)

i'm still water loading and i cut my sodium today, i'm VERY depleted which i'm happy about and already beginning to dry out ... tomorrow night at 9pm begins my "shitload" for those familiar with the term .. i did this during my practice week and it worked perfectly although i learned a few very minor things which should help me look even better ... i'm really looking forward to saturday and even more so to being done with this hell lol

i know i haven't been around as much as usual but thats due to my job and also just my complete lack of energy these past few weeks, after the show i should be around more :)

thanks for everyone that has been so supportive and helpful throughout this process .. i'll have pics up some time next week

Been thinking of you lately. Mostly when I was: "i feel like absolute **** i'm so tired and fatigued its a chore just to not keel over (gotta love it)".
Great to see you have continued to strive to achieve your goal...you already are a winner!

Good luck to you glen. You get my respect for going through a contest. I can't stand dieting for more than 4 weeks LOL.

Get em' Glen!!!
We are already damn proud.

Good luck Glen! Look foward to hearing your results.

and remember... use glue to keep that banana hammock in place... :icon_lol:

Good luck my man!! Relax and enjoy the show. Make sure that you have someone to take good pics. That is what you will cherish....not the trophy.

Let's hear it (and see it). I didn't see this till now but I was wondering what the hell happened to you.

hey guys sorry for the few days delay .. i've been eating :)

well like i said the tuesday before i was 192 and even after loading up for the 9am weigh in i came in at 180 which pissed me off A TON for 2 reasons ... 1 if i realized i was going to come in at 180 i would have done things a touch differently and came in at 176.25 and been a middleweight 2 i was the lightest light heavyweight by far .. its hard going against guys who are all roughly 18 pounds heavier than you

i didn't place in the top 5 which was fine considering i was so much lighter than everyone else

i was REALLY REALLY happy with my conditioning though and not to toot my own horn but really think i was in the best condition of the 14 light heavies .. anyways it was a good time and at the moment i've only been sent pics from 1 of my friends who didn't take many pics because she was busy watching and of those she sent only 2 are half way decent so here they are for now (3rd from left in first pic)

anyway as of monday i was already up to 200 hehe 20 pounds in 2 days .. i'm so water logged my ankles are swollen .. but i feel fantastic for the first time in months lol .... i learned a TON from doing this though and i don't know when my next show will be (honestly might not be for a few years) but whenever it is i know i can do a lot better .. just still SO PISSED i missed middleweights by 3 lbs :(

If you didn't place top 5 I hope none of those other guys did  Your conditioning looks great in those pics, bro! Congrats big time! 20lbs in 2 days, eh? Now that's something I've yet to experience hehehee.. :D

just for a run down of what i ate yesterday (because i'm so proud)

6 egg whites, 1 cup oats (i just love both of those things although i did put ketchup on my eggs :))
a HUGE blueberry muffin
a 12 inch subway cheesesteak sub
2 chicken chalupas from t-bell
2 quarter pounders and a large fries
a nachos and cheese and huge chicken burrito
1 pint of vanilla heath bar crunch ice cream provided by ben and jerry :)
1 can of chicken with salsa (starving with NOTHING left to eat so had to resort back ;))

bear in mind i was at work from 7:30 - 5 and couldn't eat nearly as much as i would have liked

even with the 20 pound gain and tons of water weight i still feel like i look great .. like i said haven't been this happy in a LONG time :)

Sucks judges went size over symetry...

Are you the only one with oil on... wtf? I would put you 2nd only to the guy on the end (right side, red trunks). But congrats and now you know what to do next time.

The fact that you had the fortitude to stand up there says it all. You should be proud of your pics. You've come a long way. Great job and hope to see you up there again.

Judges don't like it when competitors use oil during the prejudging, it distracts from the physique. Pro Tan makes an oil called muscle sheen specially made for use during prejudging since it doesn't give a glossy look, it's more of a matte finish.

Congrats bro! you have my respect for having what it takes to get on stage, doesn't matter where you place. All you have to do now is work on the weak spots and come in and blow'em all off stage next time.

Try a competition diet, then eat crap the day after you peak.. ;)

Been there, done that..

Damn good work, brother! Now do more shows so I won't get bugged to compete again.. :D

Congrats Glen you busted your ass on this one and it shows. Your pics look great your def shredded up. Also I know how ya feel on eating some junk I had a Jim Dandy Sundae from friendlys and was in heaven. I haven't had anything sweet in 4 months. Enjoy the week of junk then get back to biz

Hell yeah, Glen. You looked excellent. I can't believe you came into your first contest in such great condition. Congrats! Well Done!

That's amazing for your first show bro.. you looked completely shredded! My hat's off to you for even standing up there, great job Glen. You would have absolutely ROCKED if you had been at 176!!!

Also, I think what really hurt you, with you being in that class, like you said, was your lat spread. That wouldn't have been nearly as noticeable had you been one of the heavier guys in the lower weight class. But it kind of sticks out when you with a bunch of 200+ lb. guys. I'd hate to see you 2 years down the road if you decide to do another show! You'd look ridiculous man! Congrats again

thanks everyone for all the kind words i really appreciate it :)

we'll see when my next show is, but for right now i'm just enjoying my week of eating whatever whenever i want :)

i'll get back on a regimented eating routine next week .. just maintaining my weight for a while aside from dropping most of this excess water ... late august i'll start gradually increasing cals to begin my next bulk .. come february i see no reason why i can't be 230 at 5'8 :)

Congrats Bro, it was awesome following your progress and tribulations throughout. Ditto to what everybody else stated.

Gj, I guess it's gonna be my turn pretty soon. YAY you made it sound so enjoyable lol. Anyway nice conditioning, and once you decide to get back on AIM and actually answer my questions I will have a ton more. GJ again.

Looked good Glen. Congrats on taking the plunge.

Hey Glen, sorry I didn't post in here earlier. I did read it and veiwed the pics the day you put it up. Just too much **** in my life right now...LOL.

Dude, you came out looking great. I'm proud of you. I only wish I had the desire and drive that it took for you to achieve such a great physique. Keep up the grind and here's to growing.
