Relocating to San Diego - Good Doctors?

It looks like I will be relocating from the Bay Area to San Diego in a couple of months.

Can anybody recommend a good doctor in the area that knows their stuff and won't say "don't worry, it'll go away in a few weeks on it's own" or ask "what's a pct?" My favorite one was the doctor who declared me "obese" at 185 lbs despite having a 13% bodyfat. :nono: There are some really bad ones out there and I'd like to avoid starting over again from stratch.

I'd like to stay within Kaiser since my health insurance is with them.

I'm in the process of shopping for doctors in SD as well. My experience so far is about that same level you mentioned above. My insurance is about to change, so I'll have the ability to seek out new doctors currently outside my reach.

The best I can do is to tell you a few people to avoid.

Rhino, any chance you're about to sign up with Kaiser? If so, we can go through the San Diego Kaiser doctors twice as fast until we find somebody who knows their stuff and isn't going to give us grief.
