Not sure if this is the correct forum, or if one exists for this topic but does anyone have any experience with home Cholesterol Tests?

*they are said to be ~97% accurate.

But the American Heart Association hasn't taken a position on any of these devices.

I'd rather do it this way than pay $65 just to see HDL/LDL.

Tests:
CholesTrak $19.95 (2tests - availible at nearby DrugStore)
http://www.meditests.com/homcholtesof.html

Life Stream Monitor $151:

any experiences??

I have no idea if they are correct or not, but I just got a blood test ran, had to do it for my nutrition class, and my HDL/LDL was F'D up! HDL was 7 and LDL was 192, right before the test I was on M1T for 9 days at 5mg day. I think most likely the M1T was the culprit. Ran some superdrol about 4 weeks before the M1T, so I dont know if they still hadnt recovered from that or what, but I am laying off the orals for a quite some time. Was running test along side it.

My cholesterol was a little high at 221, range 0-200, but my HDL and LDL were FUBAR. My test only cost $20, but it was a health fair, so maybe its cheaper at those?

The home tests are supposedly as accurate as the lab test, but they only show total cholesterol, not the HDL/LDL breakdown.
