Just bought a tacoma and I'm wanting to turn it into a subtle yet effective hunting rig. Any of you guys have awesome off road stuff on your vehicle that you think would be indispensable on a hunting truck?
My truck is the V6 TRD off road double cab if you are wondering

A set of antlers on the grille, some sort of hillbilly windshield banner, and mossy oak stickers.... oh, a dog cage

Brush guard for sure. Some solid tires and a little lift will go a long way.

these are a must <img src="http://anabolicminds.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=108707"/>
Woo truck nuts.

Also, a nice well endowed female to copilot is key.

I've got a 1995 Ford F-250 4x4 w/ 6" lift and 35" mudders on it. Tons of upgrades from intake to exhaust ... NOT street legal and hasn't been off the ranch in 11 years. Honestly the coolest hunting upgrade I have realized is the lumber rack. Yep I said lumber rack. When I retired this truck from a work truck to a ranch truck in 2003 I did all the modifications I always wanted to do but I left the lumber rack for some reason. I have found it to be indispensable for offroad/hunting. First ... the front section of the rack acts like brush sweeps when going offroad under low hanging limbs. ... just catches them and carries them up and over the truck without any damage to windshield or any other part of the rig. Second .... guys sitting in the back can quickly stand up and brace their hunting rifles over the cross bar of the rack for a firm mount to get a good bead on their target. Lately the target has been wild boar. I never thought leaving the lumber rack on the ranch rig would be as useful as it has become but it is. ;)

I really would like a gun rack somewhere on my truck for when I'm on our farm and hunting but I hate the way they look.

Not a hunter, but I bought my '12 Tundra and immediately put a 3/1 level on it with Bilstein 5100s instead of a block kit and some 285/75R/18s. Stiffened up the ride and made it look much better.

My TRD has great shocks already but I'd like to put blocks on it to level it up and raise it 2in. I also picked up KC slimline 100W lights and a bed light. If I can't mount the lights behind the grill I guess I'll get a light bar to mount then on.

Bought a 08 Tundra 2 months ago. It's almost the dream truck. Can't afford upgrades for now. Maybe this summer. Got to convince the wife to let me put some money into it!

Top 3 mistake in my life was getting rid of my 91 toyota extended cab pickup with only 100k miles. Sold it for stupid reasons. Got me back from Alaska in 3 days. 3000 mile trip...perfect hunting pickup.

Light trucks are the way to go. I've had two ford Rangers and now a Nissan Frontier. Love those mini monsters

I have an 07 F-150. I put a 6 inch pro comp adjustable lift kit on it and it may have saved my life. I hit a tree when I first got my license about 5 years ago and the truck did a cart wheel and the lift kit and shocks held together with all the weight of the truck on the front and rear tire twice. The tires and rims busted, but the lift kit is still on the truck to this day. If you get the adjustable one you can go anywhere from no lift all the way to six.

Kc lights installed, but 1/3 of the light is blocked by the grill so time to get a light bar I guess

You may be interested in getting some aftermarket lights. The headlights on my 01 Denali suck; I tried to upgrade them with a kit that wouldn't involve an external rack with no avail. I'm most likely gonna get a roof or front bumper light rail kit.

I actually am pleased with my lights both front and back, I'm looking into getting a decent light bar that isn't like every other bull bar out there
