I'm married, my wife fully supports it. The only thing we butt heads on is diet. Until recently she would never follow the same nutrition plan as me. Now that I went Paleo, she's started it as well and has been loving it. Only thing is we try to have more milk and cheese for our son who is 3. He's still growing so we try to make sure he gets every nutrient he needs.

My wife doesn't eat much so its normally not a problem I just ask what she wants for dinner and cook it and serve it to finish my macros. I cook a good bit of red meat as we are both tired of the chicken from when I was cutting.Originally Posted by D2footballjrc

Not a BB'er, but have been married for 2 years in September. I am, however, shifting towards competitive PL'ing and the wife fully supports my endeavor and my *ahem* usage.

I am also in the Marines and im married. My wife trains and pretty much eats like i do so its actualy very easy to make the two work.
If your wife is ok with it then it shouldnt be an issue. I will say though that if she isnt into working out it may cut into your guys personal time as the military will take up a lot of your time.

He's right the military (depending on career) really does take all of your weekdays. And some weekends. Your best bet is to try to get her motivated to lift with youOriginally Posted by 3clipseGT

Married never really was the problem for me. Now that I'm married with kids, there's not enough time in the day. I workout during my lunch break, and sometimes catch hell if I want to work out on the weekends. She would love to go to the gym and run on the treadmill while i workout on weekends, but we still have the kids to take care of.

married with kids is far harder to get the time in / want to leave the kids than lifting when married and no kids well worth it though

Married, no kids though... The wife is totally supportive of my workouts (nudge nudge wink wink), although she was a bit jealous of my results before she got her own plan together & started busting her a$$. Biggest problem for me - diet... Wife's a vegetarian - she'll eat fish & eggs, so that's a bit easier on me, but when I cook I basically have to make 2 different meals

You know spending money on supplements and I try to get her to lift with me but we both work 10 hr graveyard shifts 6 days a week so I normally lift afterwards and she wants to sleep. But I did bring up last night working out together and she like had a differeent mind set like she wanted to give it a try. So idk what happened I think AM somehow had some thing to do with it lol. But I think her biggest problem with it is I want to be like ronnie coleman one day and she doesn't want that, says its gross lol.Originally Posted by Resolve

You have to find the bodybuilder that doesn't gross her out. For some reason my wife doesn't think Jay Cutler looks strange but most others do. So im gonna look like Jay Cutler. :POriginally Posted by wick3dtrick

Well Brother I got married at 20 and my hobby was not bodybuilding at the time but Breeding American Bullies needless to say she hated dogs and we ended up Divorcing, well my new Girlfriend Loves my dogs :-) we get along great, and is into fitness so we wkrk out fine. My advice is if she loves you shell let you do what makes u happy but make sure u make time for her,.and what Ive seen from my bodybuilder friends is that there virls also are into fitness and work out witg them so there happt. Now heres the crazy part my beautiful sexy girlfriend is also a State wrestling Champ, placed 4th at nationals in highschool decided that college is not for her and joined the Marines :-0 shes on tough girl, she made it through Bootcamp at Parris Island and is at her warrior training school right now so any info needed.on that you can message me bro, its gonna be one tough ride lol we wrote everyday so I know the gist of what to expect good luck bro, and remembet a marriage is about comprimises hope she can support ur bodybuilding.

My wife hates everything about it. She says all supplements are stupid and don't do anything, says there's no reason for me to get bigger or stronger, and spends all the grocery money on foods that won't do anything but hurt my physique. This website is pretty much the only support I have when it comes to my training.

Any time she starts saying my training is dumb I ask her if she wants me to get ambushed by insurgents and get killed cuz I'm out of shape. She says that's a little extreme lol. So, I point out that my PT score equals promotion points and she leaves me alone. Right now I'm in the reserves so Im on my own for the PT. Next year I'm hopin to go active tho so maybe then I'll find some workout partners. As far as the supps, I either wait for her to buy a few dumb things and then get something, or I pout for a couple days until she gives in haha.Originally Posted by Killerkanadia
