If I ever have to compete for a job with someone 10 yrs younger than myself I'm really not too worried about it anymore. People have no social skills!! They just dont know how to talk anymore, you can't read anybody, all they do is text message, and everyone's life is too busy for anything. Bunch of retards!!

Anyone who lifts seriously should understand the basic premise that one must discipline oneself in order to improve and excel which is in full diametric opposition to our current societal mentality. But the most disturbing aspect, at least in my opinion, is the irrational sense of entitlement that accompanies all the aforementioned character flaws.

Mine comes from local taxes and to some degree, moneys collected as tipping fees at a landfill.

Stakedcop's salary most likely comes from local taxes as well, with possibly some revenue coming in from tickets and whatnot.

International loans and whatnot go to the federal level, which are then divided up and given away to friends of politicians, or pocketed by the politicians themselves, or go to pay $7000 for a hammer that's used to put a $200 nail in the wall to hang a framed copy of the President's birth certificate.

Im with airram on this one. I blame technology. More and more kids these days are raised by their televisions and game systems...they dont even get out and play anymore! Kids are missing critical parts of childhood that are needed to grow socially and parents dont do crap about it. They just let their kids be anti-social and cater to the lifestyle. Families dont even sit down and eat dinner together anymore which is a shame. My parents encouraged me to get out of the house and be social, and for that I thank them.

You do understand that this is largely a purposeful plan put in place by progressive liberals (but in general its been picked up by all politicians)? The more you can break down the nuclear and extended family, the larger the reliance on government, the more likely you are to vote for the people who help you the most, and the more power they gain over you. You can see all the pieces there, the "do what feels good", "don't stay in an unhappy marriage", "your parents had the chance to live their lives, you should live yours", "vague spirituality is better than organized religion" etc. When you lose reliance on your family, extended family and "tribe" (religious group) then who do you have left? the government.

Yes, I do understand, and I agree with you; I just didn't want to go into too much of a rant. It is all rather discouraging when taken as a whole considering that it is an increasingly self-perpetuating state rapidly getting worse. Many may not agree, but I think there are a lot of similarities in our current society with the societal changes that occurred in the Roman Empire and the breakdown of societal function and a correlating breakdown in skills. It became all about self gratification at the expense of everything else and eventually their nation as they new it ended.
