A friend of mine was a diver there.. Back when they were the Hurons I think.. I also had a girlfriend that lived down in that area for a while..

Man, I miss MI...
 
im pretty sure we have always been the Chippewas. i think if they were to change the mascot/name they would change it to something other then Native American Indian related, i could be wrong though. yes, indeed Michigan is a great state (aside for 90% of the school year feeling like winter, and when it finally gets warm enough to go outside its finals week already lol). good to hear from you though.
 
Lol, it dawned on me later that day, I was thinking Eastern MI!! Haha, yeah, ur right about the winters up there.
