I would agree hard rock (disturbed,slipknot ect.) is the best way to start strong but lately around halfway through I go to something with a higher bpm count to keep me going strong.

for lifting and everything else really, ive been listening to this dude called pretty lights. hes a dj that combines all sorts of vinyl, 70s, hiphop, just nasty beats all together. all the music is free to download
its a little different but some tracks are just straight nasty. if you wanna switch up the old death metal routine, give it a try. favorite album to download: filling up the city skies disc 2
