Heres a question I just though of-
If taking cytomel/synthroid suppresses your natural T3 production, then how long does it take before it starts suppressing?
For example lets say it takes 1 week for the thyroid to realize that t3 is being produced by another source(not real numbers), then lets say I’ve been taking 50mcg of t3 everyday for 1 week, but I plan on taking it for 6 weeks, now lets say naturally my body produces 100mcg everyday(not real numbers), well after that 1 week wouldn’t my thyroid notice I am receiving t3 artificially so it will shut down my natural thyroid production of t3 therefore leaving my body only with the t3 I am taking in artificially (50mcg). Which puts me in an even worse spot then when I started? Not to mention I will be doing this for 6weeks! Now I don’t know how right I am but can somebody answer this?
