Should I be worried if my scoliosis seems to be getting worse?

Should I be worried if my scoliosis seems to be getting worse?

I took a few pics yesterday to keep track of my progress lifting. I was happy with my apparent progress, but I noticed I scoliosis I have seems to be getting worse. I've attached a pic so that you can see... it's usually pretty apparent but this makes it looks pretty extreme. The picture was dead on straight to my back. I was standing with a foot slightly forward for what it's worth.

It doesn't hurt (although I have had a pinched nerve a few years ago) but should I schedule an appointment or am I just being paranoid?

I would schedule and appointment, a good friend of mine has the same thing and lifts he gets it checked regularly just to keep informed on whats going on. Have you dropped body fat? maybe the lower bf% would make your back more defined thus making the curvature seem more prominent?

Schedule an appointment just for safety, with issues like this its good to get an update a couple times a year anyways.

Especially when lifting, I would think doing heavy squads and doing other heavy lifts could cause issues.

Dont you have a back brace you can wear to slow/reverse-correct this issue? Most people I ever knew who had this wore one, even though yes it is uncomfortable it will at least hold your back in a good position outside of lifting.

What degree do you have? I'm curious because I have scoliosis too and just the thought of it becoming worse is scary. I don't have it too bad though. I was told I have a 11 degree curve.

I have no idea. The last time I had my back xrayed was a while ago (3 years?) and the chiro never mentions scoliosis even though it was apparent in the xray.

I'm getting paranoid now. Might have to schedule an appointment :-X
